Don’t believe everything you read on the internet. 
The beebs is the last place I’d go for neutral reporting on the current crisis, considering the UK is at the forefront of trying to “punish Russia” for acting within reason.
Russia is very geographically challenged, especially towards the European side. An invading force with enough power and capability, i.e. NATO, could practically walk into Moscow, because western Russia is pretty much completely flat. To add to this, Russia is almost entirely surrounded by NATO countries on its western borders, with the exception of Ukraine & Belarus, and with Ukraine wanting to join NATO, would leave Russia feeling cornered.
This is one of the many sides of the pro-Russian argument, however it is the most crucial reason for the invasion.

The biggest western mistake of the century was to push Russia closer to China. Together, they will be unstoppable.

From Syria to Afghanistan, Iraq to Ukraine, the US/West’s allies have been abandoned during the times of crisis. It looks third world countries have learnt a lesson from it and 35 nations including Pakistan abstained from voting against Russia at the UN, interesting!!
My question, whats the official as well as nationalist version of Pakistan here?
Are we with Russia now and praying for its success as well as Ukr's demolition? Is Putin our new bestie now?
In the clash of titans, the small nations suffer,
so Pakistan is not taking sides this time and has maintained a neutral stance which is the right policy in my opinion.
But the nationalists here would love to see Russians beating NATO/US down for a number of reasons
i) Russia has right to secure its borders, so russians are not wrong at all.
ii) NATO/US always betrayed us and are not trustworthy.
iii) The world would function better in bipolar system.
