I used to think that those people relating Martin Crowe and Russel Crowe were joking, but I was watching The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, and the famous hollywood actor Russel Crowe was the guest. Leno talked about him being a cricket fan, and Russel mentioned that yes, two of his cousins (including Martin Crowe) actually were great representatives in the cricketing world. After that they showed a picture of Russel (about 12 years old), holding a cricket bat and dressed up in a white cricketing gear!!!

I always thought it was rumor but just confirmed today.
yes, thats right, Martin Crowe and Jeff Crowe ( ex NZ players) and Russell Crowe are first cousins. Russell now however lives in Aussie.
Recently on Russell's wedding they had a big Cricket game too where lots of celebrities played including Warnie.
I have know it since Russel’s movie LA Confidential came out.

he actually has a cricket ground on his massive property in australia.. they once showed him having a game there with all his friends after he got married

yep.. i think they showed that on Oprah this week (or perhaps late last week on Friday). He had a cricket game at his ranch... they showed him, his family, and friends all playing cricket.
