**Karachi, If you are travelling to or staying in Karachi, it is advisable to avoid 'Kabootrees'. **
Police here say that there about 15 of them roaming around the city. They are essentially beggars and have a tendency to flirt with pedestrians and drivers in exchange for money. If refused, they raise a hue and cry about being molested and men end up paying them off to get rid of them.
Many of them were arrested last year only to be released after a couple of hours. These women spread out over the city and frequent traffic signals around Clifton, Bahadurabad, Tariq Road and Civic Centre.
They come from Mirpurkhas, Sukkur, Sanghur and Jacobabad and arrive in Karachi during Ramadan.
Hamid Hussain, a Kabootree victim, was quoted by the Daily Times as saying “A woman came up to me at a traffic signal recently and started talking to me. She was well-dressed and did not look like a beggar. After a while she asked for Rs 200, and I refused. She started screaming, calling attention to herself, and alleged that I had misbehaved with her. I had to pay her off in order to get rid of her.”
Mahnaz Khan, another Karachi resident, claimed that something similar happened to her last year ten days before Eid, but managed to escape the clutches of the Kabootree.

One friend of mine gave a lift to a woman from tariq road in karachi, the woman asked him for some money otherwise threatened to shout for misbehaving. As the freind told me he opened passenger side door and literally kicked her out of the car and drove away. But I guess he was able to do so because he was right in front of his own mall and everybody knew him. If he was stopped in some unknown area he would have prefered to give money instead of calling attention.
As they say in karachi public marti pehle hai aur pochti baad mein hai.

since this is happening in KHI motorist, do what some one did above ^^ drive to your area/ gali mohala and tell the lady/girl to yell out of her tonsisl :D

Sad to hear that even women are now resorting to this kind of behaviour, could have been worse, I read somewhere that some women in Gujranwala kiddnapped a young Laborer, drugged him and had their way with him then discarded the poor guy in the wilderness, he had scraches and injuries all over him had to go to the emergency room.

Its their god given right to earn a living. The society in Pakistan is dominated by power hungry, chauvinistic, perverted men. So what if these women get back at them? You want them to sit home and wait for their sartaajs and feed them roti and get beaten as well? More power to them.
