What is ruqyah? How it is performed? Can I perform it for protection against evil eye, illness or for black magic ?

I'm not very well versed in it but from what I know, it is the use of Qur'anic ayaat and duas from Qur'an and sunnah to protect and treat against different kinds of ailments. Yes it can be performed for protection against those things. A simple ruqya prescription that I've come across involves recitation of ayatul kursi, then last 3 surahs 3 times each, and auzubikalimaatillahi and bismillahillazi duas 3 times each. After Fajr and Maghrib salats. Then before going to sleep, ayatul kursi and the 3 last surahs, 3 times each. Also the 4th kalima 100 times a day.
