We just got a new computer and my nieces downloaded all these pathetic games on it and now it has this runtime error thing…someone help me get rid of it.

It says: Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
program: c:/windows/explorer.exe

dis prblm could've been caused by sum spyware n stuff.. or there may be a program that is corrupted or sumthin.. try cleanin up spyware n den remove those unwanted programs...

First: Go to Add / Remove Programm in Control Panel and remove all unwanted Programs.

Second: Download Ad-Aware Install it and run Full scan(Will take some time depending upon computer data and speed BUT Better).

Third: Download DustBuster. (Cleans up unwanted files in your PC eg.: Temporary Files)

or if u got yahoo toolbar ,that has got anti spyware inbuit ,may be that can fix up ur problem,,,
or as go to download.com n download any free spyware program ;)

Every toolbar itself is a spyware... even google or what so ever!!!

best is hitman pyaari. It has several programs against spyware. Including ad-ware.

thanks everyone for ur help. I just downloaded spybot and ad-aware....hopefully the problem will be taken care of. Both of these programs r good right??? And can be used together?

better to use any one of them. I will recommend Ad-aware.

actually its really weird...we have 3 log in names...and in my log in name its fine there is no runtime error and when I logged onto my sis acct there was runtime error....how does that happen??

does google toolbar provide antispyware ,actually i haven’t tried g-toolbar, i use yahoo n it has antispyware in it ,so i thought shud recommend it ,thats y … :snooty:

If its a very new computer i would suggest reinstalling the whole thing. If that's too much trouble then, as you mentioned your sis's account, just delete that account and then recreate it. Some of those spywares install in user side of the registry.

Backup the important files from that user name which is giving problem and create new user name and restore the backed up files.
