Running tips??

Spring is in the air and its time to start running outside.

What are the tips that some of you want to share? Even if you dont run yourself but have a knowledge about it, please do share.

I ran into men’s health link and it has some good warmup exercises

The question is, are you a man? If Yes, why do you need to run? If no, why you looking for running tips for men & where do you want to run to?

Extremely difficult and complicated thing to do, but i'll try to explain how it is done (i.e run)

1- keep yourself well-hydrated
2- use a good sunscreen
3- get a decent pair of trainers
4- run

Make sure your shoes are well fitting, and comfortable. Same applies for attire.
Use deodorant
Use a sunscreen (Like Navzzz said)
Breathe in from nose, and breathe out from your mouth
Avoid shallow breathing/take deep breaths while running
Don't get self conscious if people look
Don't drink too much water all at once

Running as in Jogging. why would anyone want tip? To become better..

Somebody told me if inhale and exhale both done by closed mouth i.e. nose only, it strengthen lungs. True or myth?

^^ if you have large nostrils then maybe. But if smaller then don't try. You may die.

Never measured them so not sure what is considered large :slight_smile:

^^ I googled images of nostrils to post for you but they reminded me of @MadScientist So maybe we have him back to help you out here? I’m sure he can explain that better with his own pics :hehe:

I’m not that type of a man who “measure” their things. Overall dont care about nostrils however i do want to know the answer if exhaling open mouth is better or exhaling by nose?

@Gothamist I can't believe that's a serious question. But my previous answer was serious.

Why cant you believe that? Its a serious question. See I know that some people suggest that while runing inhale with closed mouth and exhale with open mouth. But someone suggested me that if you inhale with close mouth (i.e. nose) and exhale with nose as well, keeping your mouth shut, thats how lungs get stronger. Get it?

Quite possible that those people lived in Pakistan. There are too many makkhiyan when you go out. But not all the places.

I have also heard those things but no experience so can't advise you on that.
