It seems that colors do have a language… Black indicates sadness, whereas white is sign of spirituality in Islam..

Lets Share how different colors are considered good or bad in different cultures. :flowers:

Why people give kala bakra, kala murgh for Sadqa? Black also seems sacred considering the color of Kaaba and Hijr e Aswad.

difference between india and west is in west people wear black in mourning and white in weddings etc. in India we wear white in mourning and black in weddings and stuff.

But in East, Muslims wear black in South Asia during mourning like Muharram.. So colors are also attached to religion besides culture.

I don't know black seems to be important color in Islam while White is sign of purity.

We refer to Prophet as ‘Kali Kamli wale’.. Hijr e Aswad is a black stone, Ghilaaf e Kaba is also black… Shia Muslims wear black during Muharram. Molvis ask to give Kala bakra/ Murgha in Sadqa… Kuch to baat hai iss kaale main :hmmm:

So LKK what do you think about importance of Black and White among Muslims? Does that have a religious importance or its purely a cultural thing?

Ok.. and why Kala Bakra & Murga for sadqa.. I think their meat must be more delicious and Mulla knew this by trial and error method :D
