Rundi Mela

great.. if they want to celebrate good for them after all, its these hypocrital mullahs and rich n famous are their biggest clients. but i think they shud also make effort to promote health safety as well. prostitution has been a part of every major city and culture of the world. no one can deny their existance. from mughalz to modern day, there have been prosititutes, male and female.
its about time ppl start discusing these things and instead of supressing it, talk and educate about it. the less you know about something, the more you are curious and the more there are chances of ppl making stupid decisions.

I so agree with u suroor.. i reckon health workers should go these places and teach the women and men there about the health risks.. alert them of the deseases and ways to protect themselves.. in a way it'll improve their business..

Lajawab,

I'd appreciate if u paste the URL of the source.
Please provide the orginal source.

Prostitution is clearly Haram, promiscous sex is clearly Haram, adultery is clearly Haram, so what other forms of education are you talking about?...It has all been laid out in clear and concise terms that they are forbidden, how much more education do people need?

If they still persist in pursuing desires, so be it, then also let them bear the brunt of their stupid actions...Education on stupidity breeds more stupidity, not less...

And sadzzz, do you seriously wish to see the prostitution business in Pakistan improve? Or do you wish that these ladies are not treated as sex dispensers but honourable citizens of society? Do you like your fellow Muslimahs to be used like that by every Tom, Dick and Harry?

To acknowledge them and try to improve their lot would breed more prostitution, more kidnappings of girls, more selling of girls, do you wish to see that?

And to provide more avenues of people to have protected sex would induce more people to have sex, the fear of disease and death would leave them, and we would see a rise in prostitution. It is beyond me, but I can't see how one woman can see another woman be used like a prostitute.

Is it any wonder that Muslims of today take pride in and celebrate everything Haram and are ashamed to practice what is Halal...?

Lajawab.. most of these girls are born into this culture, they think 'our' culture is what is different and wierd.. i dont know about kidnappings but i know that most of these girls are born into this culture.. why shouldnt one be educated bout these deseases? plus its not upto u or me to judge these females/males... let Allah Mian do that

so what if they are born in families of that culture? kia lakeer k fakeer hi rehna hai??

ps.
they all know about the diseases...infact, a while ago there was a news about them on BBC and several women from heera mandi were interviewed and asked whether they knew about STDs and stuff and whether they're protecting themselves against these diseases...

Lajjo, you should not have invoked the emotions of people by posting this here.

seriously though, how out of touch with pakistani standards of decency are those arguing for regularising prostitution?

if your argument is that it goes on anyway, might as well make it safer for those doing it, how about making needles cheaper so that drug addicts wont have to reuse them? or free even? hunt drug addicts out, give them free injections so that they dont give each other aids.

a lot of druggies are born into drugs. their mothers drug them as children, carry them around when they're begging for money (seen the little children sleeping away all day as her mother begs?). does that justify/vindicate/advocate the continued use of drugs by the person? and i believe, getting off drugs is harder than stopping yourself from prostituting yourself.

if you're sympathetic to drug addicts, advocate free rehab. if you're sympathetic to the ladies, advocate finding them alternate means of employment.

the same "Allah miyan" who will eventually decide whats right and wrong also set out a basic social order that emcompasses what can be deemed right and wrong in public. prostitution, alcohol, adultery, etc all have very specific rulings from the same Allah miyan.

yes. as far as actions impacting society go, social codes would be irrelevant if it was impossible to enforce them because their interpreter and enforcer was someone on the seventh heaven.

It is out of sheer frustration that these idiots are posting all this crap… Check this out…

Btw, to add salts to your wounds, basant will be celebrated with even more fervor next year :hehe:

That’s it Spock…That’s the fire we Muslims need…That’s what will put the Hijab back on the heads of your sisters around the world…That’s what will help your Muslim brothers around the world overcome the Kuffar…This is the kind of support our Ummah needs right now…

If even half the people who fought for Basant on this forum alone spoke out against the ban on Hijab, if even half the money spent on flying the kites sponsored by different businesses went to a Muslim organizations fighting for our sisters rights of Hijab, if even half of the people in Lahore flying the kites protested in front of the French embassy, there would have been change…

But for many people, it is more important to fly a kite than to speak out for their sisters and brothers…What a shame…:nook:

Now stop wasting your time and get your butt over in Cafe to vote for the rights of Muslim women to wear Hijab…Shabaash…Let’s see if you are man enough to fight as fervently for your faith as fervently as you fly a kite…

:k: not that we have a right to judge someone but we are told to enjoin the good and forbid evil! [this rule is in the Quran for those who don’t follow the hadiths]

It’s like jadoo to some isn’t it? :hehe:

Lajjo man, did a spot of kite flying really inspire such a lurid story?
Bad Lajjo! Naughty Lajjo! :nono4:

p.s.

Basant is an actual event, whereas Rundi mela is merely a product of your fertile imagination. We should point out the little differences so as not to confuse anyone who is unaware of it.

We have to celebrate it and let people know that we exist and honour the ladies who have contributed so much to this culture. Every major singer and actress has come from us and some have even gone abroad to brighten the name of their country. Thanks to them Pakistan can now be seen as a progressive, modern nation on par with any nation in the world. How can we not honour them and celebrate and preserve this wonderful culture we have thanks to them?"

Do you actually believe this? Every major singer and actress has come from prostitution? What BS!

Lajawab, if you actually wrote this yourself, you need to find yourself a hobby or use your time more productively.

the article is toooo long..i get bored :( but i say **** the culture if it goes against the teaching of Islam

the fact that they are actually proud of who they are…what they do… seems like they actually enjoy being prostitute and now they wana celebrate it

i wonder if these women gets religious education or not?

Lajulab...sorry for judging u , but IMHO its high time ....... You are exactly like one of those ******** *******(I put the astricks not the admin) , who go against their instincts ...

Sex is not an Islamic patent but rather a human instinct that can be surpressed but not obliterated.

PS: Leave us alone Mr Lajawab - URA (united Rundi Association).
