Over one million children have died since the end of the “Gulf War” due to the immoral sanctions of the Western Powers. After the infrastructure of the country was so devastated, the regime of sanctions and attacks were engineered to break the will and the very fabric of a country that had
dared to rise to the status of a regional power.
Nothing can be done to turn back the clock. Certainly no amount of hand wringing or verbal platitudes will aid anyone, least of all those left in the misery of what now passes for life, in the wreckage of ones people.

Thanks for putting this up. From 29 June to 1 July, there will also be a conference in London where the former UN Humanitarian Coordinator in Iraq, Denis Halliday, will be giving a talk. (Cost is 5-10 pounds). D. Halliday resigned in 1998 in protest of the economic sanctions on Iraq.
