A marathon is a fixed length no matter which city is in. Marathon means 26.2 miles. If it’s not 26.2 miles then it’s not a marathon.
And if you can run 10 miles that’s not enough. I’ve done the last 2 London marathons and i found it really hard. Ive run 3 times a week for the last few years, done some 10ks and some half marathon races and then moved on to marathons and trained for 3 months specifically for marathon running before each.
Some people find it easy I guess but I found it really hard. If you run at an average speed then don’t forget it’s about 4hrs running non stop. My times were 4hr 2min and 3hr 44min.
