Maybe somebody here can shed more light on this…why is it that people spread rumours about others? I mean, whats the mentality here? What are they thinking ? What does anyone gain by spreading rumours about others…

Ps: This will probably interest the regulars in the politics section...Apparently there's a strong rumour going around that the reason why Sharif ran to Washington is cos he was told by his Intelligence agencies that India were to launch an all-out offensive within 24 hours. Another rumour :)
Political rumors are different, with more emphasis for some actual gain by the other party but I think rumors that attack someone's reputation, are a result of people that have to talk about others negatively in order to feel better themselves...and when there is nothing to say, they make facts out of assumptions...
Thats just the way I see it...
