Rules of Traffic

:salam2:

I wanna ask a question from those guppies who live in Pakistan. Do Pakistani drivers follow the rules of traffic? Share your opinion plz.

Re: Rules of Traffic

yes when its rushtime then we do follow the rules. however when its quiet then we kind of dont like road/street is empty then we dont stop at red.

Re: Rules of Traffic

Well last time when i was in Lahore, it was truely chaotic over there, hardly any1 was following the rules. I mean to say every1 was in hurry, most of the ppls were driving between two lanes, continously switching the lanes without the indications, no one was following the assigned priorties on the road or roundabouts. Honestly it was a mess … :frowning: :frowning:

Re: Rules of Traffic

No one follows. The most pathetic maklooq on Karachi roads is 'Bikewalas'. They are just too much. They always require you to give them way by showing your driving and savior skills.

Ambulance drivers are also annoying at times, even when they are not carrying any patients. At times they drive like they want to kill ppl on the road to save the one in the ambulance. Last day, an ambulance suddenly came from wrong side at a signal to gain its way on the risk of lives of those who were driving on their way.

Re: Rules of Traffic

LOL i have also seen some guys carrying those police/ambulence sirens which they put on their cars so that when people hear it they'll think its an actual police car or ambulence coming and they will give them the space to go.

Re: Rules of Traffic

since the tym i hav came here .. i keep wonderin how those ppl gott there drivers licence

Re: Rules of Traffic

If you follow traffic rules , you will not get far without causing an accident. You have to do what everyone else is.
Ever heard of the guy who converted to Islam looking at the traffic flow in Pakistan saying "Only Allah will keep this kind of chaotic traffic flowing so smoothly " :)

Re: Rules of Traffic

Re: Rules of Traffic

^ bus yahee aapka permanent avatar rahay ....

Re: Rules of Traffic

We only follow the traffic signals (sometimes) but we don't follow other rules like lanes, helmet, seat belt, speed limit etc.

Re: Rules of Traffic

Exceptions are there but as far as Islamabad is concerned, People in general follow the Traffic Signals, fasten their seat belts and wear Helmets when on motorbikes otherwise they get fined by the traffic wardens on spot.

While on Motorways…One has to observe the speed limits, fasten the seat belts and keep one’s lane. Couple of months ago, I got a warning ticket for using the overtaking lane on M2…Paid additional Rs. 200 at the Toll Plaza :naak:

Re: Rules of Traffic
