I always tear up at the thought of my ruhksakti, most ppl cry esp in the older day at the fact they are moving away far from parents. Thats not the case these days, daughters are frequently visting parents all the time
The reason why i tear up and shed tears just thinking about my ruhksakti is bc it is the time where my parent officially have given me to my husband. I cry looking at the fact my parent have given me so much love pyar and watched over me like angels. I can never forget how they treated me, the way they even look at me is beyond anything i can explain. The way how no matter how angry they were, how if they just see a glimpse of me they become tunda. I have been blessed with 2 angels directly from heaven, my parents. When i will look at them at that moment where they give me up to my husband i cry bc i know how important i am to them and vise versa. Im crying as i write this

My parents are so emotional that they cry at every ruksati, even while watching someones film!!
they were virtually confined to bed after my and both of my sisters ruksati, and worse just a few months back we had a nikah for my younger brother and my dad was crying at the function, i asked him why are you crying your getting your son married not your daughter, he was like im just really happy!!!!!!!

our photographer took an amazing pic of my sister at the time of my nikkah, it was a single shot of her in b/w and all u could see was a tear drop on her face. i'd post it but id end up seeing it on facebook most likely!

Great Job, Angele! 
It was funny at my sister's rukhsati. My parents were not crying. But I saw tears in my sisters eyes and she is one HELL of a strong woman. I didn't think she would cry on her wedding. That got my younger brother all teary. Seeing him cry made me well up too.
My older brother was teary-eyed too. I have never seen him that way.
My mom was kind of dazed and sad for at least the next week, after which I came back to Canada.
At her nikkah, when she signed the paper, I was teary-eyed, so was her and my mom. I HATED it when my bro-in-law's sister was like "we'll take good care of her. dont worry." It is not about if you will take care of her. I know she can take good care of herself. Just the idea of not having her here, sharing life experiences with her was difficult to bear.
