Is it rude to post a thread and not reply in it later.I mean you read all the valuable posts but dont think its necessary to reply cause you have nothing more valuable to add.So is it considered rude?

i feel the same at times .. but never opened a thread like you nw .. and when i feel like so .. i dunt bother replying to be honest cos either the thread which i creaTED has gone off topic an ppl arnt bothered or what ever was needed to be said by posters and what ever i wanted i got .. so no more point of postin a reply ..cos i either got my answer or ppl are just gone off track

Even if you dont feel that you have anymore value to add, its good to comeback and thank the posters. However if you cant do that, I wont call it rude.

I think it does not matter. You started a thread with a thought and personally I feel you did a good job even to bring thought for others to think about or discuss on.
Now if you brought a controvertial and knowingly controvertial thread and then run away and enjoying you coffee in your armchair and laughing...............then ..............not good.
Sorry, not referring to you...I know who do that periodically. :)
