But really, the OP does have a point… why do some people think it is better or even cool to say things in rude way… or to be very crude in what they say.
I have noticed some posters were very nice initially when they joined, but now they don’t leave an opportunity to insult the guppies they don’t like… or I dunno have something against.

wrong.. no body is rude to any of the guppy .. the thing is most of us are here from more then a decade now.. and know each other well or how the other guppie gonna responsd its in our internet-gene now.. we can predict after reading & reply to countless threads what tlk, niksik, x2, eb, sham, spocky, that guy, chicks of life1 and blah blah gonna say..

for the new comers .. a sudden shock of such friendly attitude and blunt reply’s felt like rudeness which is not.. spend like 4/5 years then you will better understand.. happy posting ..

I dont know whom u r talking about but i havent come across any rude member ever in this forum.....i have started threads many times and even replied to many threads.....but the replies have always been friendly. Also i would suggest not to take replies so personally and theres no need to get offended, we all are strangers over here....we dont know how sensitive the other person is (and actually we donot even need to know that), keep this in mind that the post/reply that u find rude and insulting might not be intended that way!
Also when theres a face to face conversation, u can judge what the other person is saying or the mood by his/her expressions, tone etc. But it is not the same online. So chill out.....no one here is trying to target u specifically until and unless u dont do it.

Newbies must give this much credit to GS that people here atleast give replies. where as on other forums people wont even open your thread let alone reply you. and asking for decent comments on those forums is out of this world demand.

btw, i gotta admit you might be the only one who always use limited words. and sometimes even just change a slight bit of wording to send a whole different meaning. one really has to know your semiotics to understand where you are taking your readers.
