I’m planning my wedding for around winters of this year, and as the first step I’ve decided to shop around for “the dress”. I’m going to be choosing the dress for my baraat, and it should go with an antique polkhi set I’m going to be wearing. Since my set is so traditional (and due to the beautiful pictures shared on this site by fellow guppans) I had my heart sent on a Bunto jora. So I decided to make a phonecall there for my first appointment to see dresses, however when I called I suppose it was “after-hours” and the office had closed down. The phone was picked up by an incredibly rude woman (I have no idea who she was) who proceeded to tell me off for calling off-hours. When I tried to politely ask her what the office timings were to call back, she asked me “what world do I live in” and “do I not know when people work”. Now, I’m no novice to the unprofessionalism of Pakistani designers, as I had a horrible experience with HSY before as well, but I didn’t expect this from the likes of the Kazmi household. Now I’m incredibly disheartened as I don’t know whether this is just one person who works there or this is the attitude of Bunto herself as well, because I’m not the kind of person who can put up with attitude and insulting comments, especially when I’m shelling out lacs for a dress! Anyone on here that has gotten a dress from Bunto, I wanted to know - is she rude as well? How is her customer service? And will she care if I complain about the rude woman on the phone?
Any comments will be appreciated.
Re: Rude attendant at Bunto Kazmi...
Congratulations on your wedding, and i am sorry to hear about the bad experience, but it does not come to me as a shock, as Pakistani "designer" have a misconception about thinking they are all that..
I have not personally dealt with her, but my fiancé has called her up and spoken to her on behalf of me, with some inquiries for wedding outfit etc. And he told me, she is incredibly helpful and nice. He had some really good things to say about her, so maybe it is just some old wacko lady that gotten out of the wrong side of the bed that morning ?

I hope so! I'm even debating to try out Dr. Haroon now, as I honestly can't abide unprofessional people, especially when it comes to a topic as sensitive as my wedding dress. So let's see, I still have to get that appointment! I DO plan on bringing it up with her when I see her though, if she truly cares about her customers, she should care if her salespeople are being rude to customers for no reason....
^you should definetly let her know about the incident so she is aware and I know it really hurts when you are spending so much money and in return you dont get a good service.I believe by my own experience that there are very few who have good customer services.
I believe you have seen Dr Haroon outfits here, some of them are really stunning and he seems to be most similiar to Bunto.Best of Luck with your outfit and update us what happened after your appointment with
Bunto Kazmi.

do you mind me asking how out-of-hours you called? I mean if it was 2 in the morning, then I'd be pretty annoyed too... but if it was out-of-hours, why did the employee even pick the phone up?!
to be frank, you're not going to get the chance to complain to Bunto herself....if your shaadi is this winter, I can almost write you a guarantee that its too late to book her for your wedding. I contacted her in Jan last year for my wedding in December and she wasnt taking any more orders. I went with Dr. Haroon, my jora was wayyyy better than most of the recent Bunto joras I've been seeing and he was honest and kind.
Re: Rude attendant at Bunto Kazmi...
fasaadi wat was the clour of ur outfit..m hearing alot dat hes makin beetr designs n providing better services dan buntooo?
Re: Rude attendant at Bunto Kazmi...
fasaadi, I was meaning to private message you but I couldn't as I have not been a member long enough to be able to :(. Could you please private message me a picture of your dr. haroon bridal(s)?? I am thinking seriously about going to him instead, but I want to see some of his work in person before I make such a huge decision. I have checked out the thread on here with pictures, but since there werent that many, seeing yours would be a big help. I could provide you with my email too instead if you would prefer that. It would be a BIIIIGGGGG help :D!
Re: Rude attendant at Bunto Kazmi...
what time did u call?
are you abroad giggles? If you have the option, make appointments with designers rather than placing orders just by going off any pictures...when you see the work in person, you'll have a better sense of whether this is what you want or not. Just keep in mind that you'll want to go to Pakistan by June at the latest, few big-name designers will make a bridal in less than six months and Dr. Haroon gets booked pretty quickly as well. I'm not really sure about sharing my pics, but I can share any other info you'd like.
muneebajadoon, it was shades of pink. I guess I'm biased, but yes, I'd agree with that statement (at least as of her latest bridals)
Re: Rude attendant at Bunto Kazmi…
You can find many Bunto Kazmi’s designs here:
http://www.paklinks.com/gs/wedding/278752-bunto-kazmis-designs.html
BTW, there is another guppan who is currently working with Bunto Kazmi for her wedding jora. You can read an account of it here:
http://www.paklinks.com/gs/wedding/404933-please-help-bunto-outfits.html
For Dr. Haroon’s work, look here:

Please don’t be put-off by just one phone call. Call her again and let’s see what happens. I think Ms. Kazmi’s daughter is on Facebook ~ not a 100% sure, though. Maybe you can message her.
Re: Rude attendant at Bunto Kazmi...
I had called at 1 p.m. in the afternoon...trust me, if I were to call someone in the middle of the night I would expect a bad mood, but not in the middle of the afternoon! The thing was that it was a Sunday...but a LOT of designers, wedding planners and salons operate on Sundays because Sunday is a day most women have off so they can do a lot their own personal work. I work full time so Sunday is the only day I get to make phone calls, etc. I would have understood if they either didn't pick up the phone, or politely just told me that they are closed today, but why the attitude?
Fasaadi, I totally understand. Although I just wanted a picture of the dress, you could crop your face out if you wish, but no worries, I'll take your word on it that it was a lovely dress :)! I'm also looking for a dress for shades of pink because my set has some antique tourmaline in it...plus pink is my favorite color!
BTW guys I called today for my appointment and the girl I spoke to today was incredibly polite and sweet...and it wasn't the person who picked up on Sunday. So I have no idea who that was. But for the meanwhile I have my appointment, I'll keep you guys posted!
Re: Rude attendant at Bunto Kazmi...
fasadi how much did your bridal dress costs you
Re: Rude attendant at Bunto Kazmi...
giggles it was probably one of bunto's grandkids or something who are probably sick of the constant phone calls.....i have spoken to buno before and she is very very nice
Re: Rude attendant at Bunto Kazmi…
It was probably her receptionist Nasreen who has been incredibly rude and cold to me as well. Sorry to revive an old thread but I’m currently dealing with a nightmare with getting my dress. ![]()
Re: Rude attendant at Bunto Kazmi…
anyone kind enough to share the price range of Dr Haroon as well as Bunto’s bridals?
