I personally like Ruby Woo better, it's a bit lighter and more matte which is more my taste :)

Never tried RR for reason below.......but would go for Ruby woo in a heartbeat, love the look it gives to our desi skin tone....I will be very honest I have always been afraid of Russian red....seems like a very intimidating colour....does anyone else feel this way too?

I guess so far I’m the minority here but I like Russian Red more. I actually wore it for my wedding.

Would you guys mind sharing your skin tone? Ruby Woo is very pretty but it has blue/cool undertones which do not flatter my skin tone. :bummer:

Girls, would anyone be kind enough to mention the number ( usually written at the bottom end of lipstick) for Ruby Woo , as here in Pak , SA usually identify the shade with the number.

I prefer Ruby Woo cos it's more flattering on the skin (I find Russian Red a bit bluer, but love the colour!)

I haven’t purchased either, but I personally love how flattering Ruby Woo looks on all skins. I think it gives a very classic red lip look.

okay so i was counfused too before buying.
so i bought both of them.
both are really preety
but i like russian red better.

why don't you buy both and see which one you like better on yourself...Mac has a great return policy so you can return the one you don't like or both.

Bought both but decided to keep Russian Red at the end and return the other.

I think I'll go poking around this weekend actually. I want a darker red color. The Ruby Woo reviews I am reading are mostly positive but the general consensus seems to be that its waaaaaaaaaaaaay too drying. Is that true?

If you want a darker red then go for Russian Red, it's darker and less drying!

I would except I don’t have it :slight_smile: I don’t really wear red lips so never got around buying it, but it’s definitely on my wish list!

If anyone's looking for a darker red, I have to recommend NARS Cruella velvet matte lip pencil. I love the colour and the formula is perfect, matte but not too drying either.
