A close friend of mine is applying for australian immigration, and as the sole english speaker in the neighbourhood I am fixing his application. Hes a tech guy so has to fill out an RPL to be evaluated by ACS. I have discovered that his RPL largely involves copy pasting from publicly available books. I dont think that would fly very well with teh committee.
Im not sure what an RPL is suppposed to look like though, has anyone filed for this before? If so I’d be grateful for meaningful tips moreso for samples :–D, i promise I wont use aside from following their trend.
is it supposed to be sort of told in story form.. i learnt this this this about software engineering, or is it supposed to be more of a lecture "software engineering is very important because ". from what I can make out from the guidelines, it seems to be the former, but the bloke has 15 pages pasted from somewhere or the other..naturally in the latter voice.
Ravage,
I've evaluated RPLs written by grad students for University Admission purposes but I surmise these to be quite different for immigration purposes. A story-telling format might work though... if it's written as more of an autobiography sketch or something to that effect.
