Kindly, can anyone help by telling the right way of making dua when paying salam at roza e rasool kareem pbuh.
I know we make dua to Allah swt irrespective of the place but how to ask for shifaat e rasool kareem pbuh when particulary you are paying salaam.Do we ask for it addressing nabi kareem pbuh? Nabi kareem does answer our salaam when muslims visit roza e nabi, so what about asking for shifaat?

Good question. I also want to know the answer
Re: Roza e rasool pbuh and aadaab e dua?
Send Durood on the Prophet before you make dua...This is the way of those who love RasoolAllah SAWS.
Re: Roza e rasool pbuh and aadaab e dua?
answer can be different depending upon your affiliation. Barelvis take it to the other level which others do NOT subscribe to...i believe that you make du'aa by reciting sura faaTiHa folowed by your du'aa [whatever you desire/wish as per Halaal things] with darood shareef before and after it.
Yes, right about reciting durood sharif. But can someone please answer what i actually inquired?

'salaam' has a connotation to it for us...salaam means hymns of some sort...by salaam we mean just salaam "assalaamo 'alaikum yaa Rasool Allah! [SAWS]"...here, YAA is the key...if you say it and mean that he is omnipresent then teher is a problem...we believe that he was a bashar [as Qur'aan declares] except that he received Wahi from Allah through Jabra'iil [a.s] so by saying YAA we mean o'Rasool Allah...as a word of addressing him...and that' is THE difference that makes a BIG difference...what you believe is IMPORTANT!
i hope i answered your answer!
Re: Roza e rasool pbuh and aadaab e dua?
If you believe that RasoolAllah SAWS will answer your salam then no doubt you believe that RasoolAllah will intercede for you and that you are making your dua via the Prophet.
I believe the durood you are looking for is Salat Al Tibbiya which is:
Allahumma Salli ala Sayyidina Muhammadinafiyatil abdaani wa shifaa’ha
Tibbil qulubi wa dawaa’iha
Wa nuril absari wa diya’iha
Wa
Wa `ala Aalihi wa Sahbihi wa Sallim.
This translates to :
O Lord! Send blessings on our master Muhammad,
The medicine of hearts and their cure,
The light of eyes and their illumination,
The health of bodies and their healing,
And upon his family, companions, and send peace.
No doubt some here will object to this. :)
For me, it is part of my daily wird..so I recite it at least 2000 times in a day!

What KKF is saying is that the Prophet SAWS is dead (which he is ) and will not answer your salam...or anything else.

your first assumption is correct..he passed on to Allah because he was bashar but yes, he will intercede on the Day of Judgment but remember he will intercede with Allah's permission...if Allah is unhappy with an individual, do you think Nabi-e-Kareem will intercede for someone Allah is not happy with?
my point is: some people have exalted our beloved Prophet [SAWS] to the levels of Isa [a.s.]...Christian say take Jesus in your heart and you will be saved no matter what. we know that it's NOT right...similarly, un fortunately, some Muslims believe that Prophet [SAWS] will help every 'aire Ghaire natthoo Khaire' enter paradise, no matter what, is wrong...it's againbst Islami8c ta'leemaat.
there is a Hadees whose mafhoom is:
one day, Prophet [SAWS] was sitting looking very sad...someone inquired about the reason of his sadness, he explained that he was afraid that in later days [qurb-e-qayaamat] his people [Muslims] will exalt his position as prophet of Islam to the level of Jesus...[making him sorta God, na'uuzobillah]!
now, we see that some people are on their way to claiming that...not now but may be in another one hundred years or so!

Its about aqeedah. I shall give you one example.
On the occassion of Mairaj, the Prophet SAWS ascended to the heavens. There he met past anbiya. He lead them in Salat. The famous incident where the Prophet Moosa advised the Prophet to go back to Allah SWT and lessen our daily prayers is well known.
So the question is if they were all dead and buried who did the Prophet SAWS lead in congregation?
RasoolAllah SAWS was bashar no doubt but he is same bashar who Allah SWT has declared Rehmatulalameen. If the other anbiya were alive and well and then why not the holy Prophet SAWS?
Btw I agree with your point about raising the maqam of the Prophet to almost a deity like. Like others have done and which we, from this ummah are probably destined to do! :(
So , what about the way when hazrat abdullah ibn umar ra used to visit roza e rasool pbuh and syedna abubakr ra and his father's graves and address them as "ya".
Besides, the point is to ask for/make dua for shifaat e rasool kareem. I believe we make dua to Allah swt to let nabi e kareem pbuh intercede for us.

There is nothing wrong in saying Ya Rasool Allah. We regularly say it in our prayers when we are sitting in Tashahhud... "Assalam o Alaika AyyoHan Nabiyyo wa Rahmatullah e wa barakatuhu" where the term AyyoHan Nabiyyo translates to Ya Nabi.

In my opinion majority of Muslims i.e. Ahle Sunnat Wa Aljamaat believe that Prophet Muhammad Sallallaho Alaihe WaAalihe WaSallam was bashar but at the same time he was noor. Being noor he was able to receive wahi and being bashar he was able to convey it to other people.

Peace stonecold,
Is it the same famous incident i.e. Miraj or different?

I am talking about the Mairaaj event in this case.
Re: Roza e rasool pbuh and aadaab e dua?
Peace stonecold,
That example at post 12 is unfit here b’coz Prophet
ascended to the heavens and wasn’t on earth with rest of other peoples. Plz don’t mix-up.
