router problem

ok guys.. i have netgear router. It works fine but after a while it just disappears from the network list on my laptop. I then have to restart router and it appears back on laptop just for some time.. ( like for half an hour or so )… Why is it giving me this problem?

have you tried upgrading the firmware to the latest on its support page?

if that doesnt fix it, i would recommend disposing it off, and picking up a used linksys WRT54G for cheap on ebay. those things usually are real stable. and cheap too.

Most power saving options will shut down the network connection (NIC) when the PC/MAC goes to sleep. Don't listen to Queer and buy a new router, it can be the simplest solution!

lol if its an issue of the laptop NIC, how does restarting the AP help, coca pai?
