Why do we ever play Afridi and Ijaz?
Ijaz is as good as gone, having already been on the tribunal's 'hit-list', his exclusion from the SL series is almost a certainty.
The Board's offer to give him a benefit match if he retires right now, is a good one, both for him and Pak cricket. The "merry-making" allegations would die down a bit and as far as the team is concerned, he'll be missed more for his brilliant fielding at point than his junglee batsmanship.
