Rough Patch

Salam all,

Does anyone have any duaas that they have recited that helped them in acquiring a new job and also helped them during some tough times.

Any help is appreciated.
Thanks.

After you pray, just take couple minutes and raise hands "dua style." Ask Allah (swt) whatever you need in whatever language you are comfortable in.

Say, "Ya Allah, please help me find a new job; ya Allah please help get through these hard times"

Some important points to remember:
Be in a state of purity, face the Qiblah, and raise your hands when making duas.
According to Fiqh us Sunnah, volume 5, #96b, one must maintain a complete state of purity. face the direction of Ka’bah, seek forgiveness of Allah as much as possible. glorify Allah, and supplicate for one’s well being and welfare in this Iife and in the Hereafter, and for others, with fervor, attention, and with hands raised in supplication. Osamah bin Zaid reported: “I was riding behind the Prophet (peace be upon him) in Arafah, while he raised his hands in supplications to Allah.” (Reported by Nasa’i)
Source: Fiqh-us-Sunnah, volume 5, #96b.
1. Raise your hands in front of your face, but not above your head.
Umayr saw the Prophet (peace be upon him) praying for rain at Ahjar az-Zayt near az-Zawra’, standing, making supplication, praying for rain and raising his hands in front of his face, but not lifting them above his head.
Source: Narrated Umayr, the client of AbulLahm, in Sunan Abu Dawood, hadith #450
2. Supplicate with the palms of your hand upward.
The Prophet (s) said. “...] Supplicate Allah with the palms of your hands; do not supplicate Him with their backs upwards. When you finish supplication, wipe your faces with them.”
Source: Narrated Abdullah ibn Abbas in Sunan Abu Dawood, hadith #578.
3. Repeat your supplication three times..
Abdallah b. Mas’ud reported that the Prophet (s) loved to repeat his supplication three times, and pray for forgiveness three times.” (Abu Daw’ud)
Source: Fiqh-us-Sunnah, 4, 113a
4. Supplicate with attention and humility, in a voice neither loud nor low.
Allah says: “Neither say your prayer aloud, nor speak it in a low tone, but seek a middle course between.” Qur’an 17.110 And “Call on your Lord with humility and in private, for Allah does not love those who go beyond bounds.” Qur’an 7.55
Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari reported, “Once the people raised their voices in supplication. At this the Prophet, peace be upon him, said, ‘Be easy on yourselves. You are not calling upon someone deaf or absent. You are calling upon one Who is All-seeing and All-hearing. He is nearer to you than the neck of your mount. O Abdallah b. Qais, shall I tell you a word that is one of the treasures of Paradise? It is: “There is no power nor any might except with the permission of Allah”.’ (Muslim and Bukhari)
Source: **Fiqh-us-Sunnah, volume 4: 111d
5. **End your supplication (dua) with *amin
.
We went out with the Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) one night and came upon a man who made supplication with persistence. The Prophet (peace be upon him) waited to hear him. The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: He will have done something which guarantees (Paradise for him) if he puts a seal to it. One of the people asked: What should he use as a seal? He replied: Amin, for if he ends it with Amin, he will do something which guarantees (Paradise for him).

VERY IMPORTANT:::::
Do not be impatient if your dua has not yet been answered.
**Yahya related to me from Malik from Ibn Shihab from Abu Ubayd, the mawla of Ibn Azhar, from Abu Hurayra that the Messenger of Allah, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “You will be answered as long as you are not impatient and say, ‘I have made a dua and I have not been answered .’ “
**Source:
Al-Muwatta hadith 29, volume 15.
Please note that you should pursue lawful means of livelihood if you wish your duas to be answered. The following hadith makes this clear:
Abu Hurairah (r) reported that the Prophet (s) said, “O people, Allah is Good and He, therefore, accepts only that which is good. And Allah commanded the believers as He commanded the Messengers by saying, ‘O Messengers, eat of the good things, and do good deeds; verily I am aware of what you do,’ Qur’an 23.51 and He said: ‘O those who believe, eat of the good things that We gave you’.” Qur’an 2.172 The Prophet, peace be upon him, then made mention of a person who travels widely, his hair dishevelled, and covered with dust. “He lifts his hands and makes supplication, ‘O Lord, O Lord,’ but his diet is unlawful, his drink is unlawful, and his clothes are unlawful, and his nourishment is unlawful. How then can his supplication be accepted?” (Muslim and Ahmad)

Dua Jam

The first one on this page.

Hi,

Try praying Salah Hajat (Prayer for the Fulfillment of a Need). This namaz is offered if you want Allah to fulfill a particular purpose, need, or want that you have. You pray two rakats and make the following dua in the link below.

Salat al Hajah - Salatul Hajat - Salaat Hajaat

Re: Rough Patch

i have practised offering 2 nuful{hajat) in the toughest and sadest part of life and believe me whatever you ask from ALLAH with tears in ur eyes as that is the best time you are closer to him, the very next morning the desires come true whether it b anything. my mother also tried the same and this was refferrd to me by her. try it with all ur heart...

Re: Rough Patch

ALLAH huma inne astugfiruka min kuul,e zanb,n wa toobu ile,ka

Sura Waqia after maghrib or eesha is very good for this purpose.

Salatul Hajat and tahajjud also helps alot.

Re: Rough Patch

Also, make your dua when you're in sajdah position, as that is the time when you are the most closest to Allah in namaz.

Re: Rough Patch

I have realized that ALL the duaa's - when translated in English is - similar to our thoughts that we wish for it to happen. The only problem is when we say it in English - in our own word - it is not considered a prayer. However, if you read the same thing in "Arabic" it is considered prayer.

hmmmm

Recite Surah-e-Muzammil after maghrib with durood sahreef. This is for wealth, we tried it, me and my cousin recite this surah for seven days and we got jobs of our nature without any source I want hospital pharmacy job and she wants to teach in a good school. It also cause increase in wealth.

That is not true. It doesn' matter what languate you pray in. I'm attaching one shaikh's verdict regarding this- But it is something that almost all scholars are agreed upon. Only if it w/in namaz does it have to be in Arabic. Otherwise, you can do so in whatever language you please

Question:
As-salaamu alaikum I was wondering what the ruling is on supplicating (making dua) in English or another non-Arabic language. I would like to supplicate in Arabic but do not know it well enough to do so consistently and believe that imposing such a "communication barrier" would reduce my sense of connection with Allah. Thank you!

Answer:

Walaikum assalam wa rahmatullah,

I pray that this finds you well, and in the best of health and spirits. May Allah grant you all good and success in this life and the next.

There is nothing wrong with making dua in other than Arabic. Rather, the very best of supplication is the supplication that is from the depths of one's heart--because that is true "asking" of Allah. However, withing ritual prayer itself one should strive to make supplication in Arabic. If you don't know specific supplications in Arabic for your situation, then make a general supplication (e.g. "Ya Rabb!") intending your specific needs.

And Allah alone gives success.

Faraz Rabbani

Continuously recite any kind of zikr all day long in your waking hours, no matter what you are doing , cooking , cleaning , laying down , standing , sitting , walking . You do not have to sit in a corner and do this. Inshallah Allah will shower you with her blessings.
These are some I recite , not in any particular order . I do not keep any count of any of them either.
1. Dua a Qanoot.
2. Kalima
3. Takbeer
4. Alhumdulillah
5. Subhan Allah
6. Ayat ul Kursi
7. Ya hye o ya qayoom bay rehmatika astaghees
8. Bismill he wa tawakal tu alal la hee
9. Any verses from Quran.

Re: Rough Patch

I am going to share my own experiences...
I have got firm belief on Salaatul Hajat...just offer 2 rakats naffal prayer after namaz n then pray to ALLAH...start ur prayer wid Darood sharif then followed by Surah e Fatiha or praise ALLAH, thanks HIM for wht HE has given u. Then make dua in ur own words wid humility n full attention. Then end ur dua again wid Darood sharif.

Its said tht darood makes ur dua reach the highest sky.

Then for rizq recite Surah e Waqiyah after maghrib or beofre going to sleep.

And recite Surah e Muzammil as many times as u can for fulfillment of any task.

There is a gal in my family back in pk, who was good in studies but not extraordinarily good. She topped the borad in 10th grade n has got 1st position in grade 11 too. Her family was surprised tht we never saw her studying tht much, we thought she could, if maximum, only top her school. She said that i used to offer tahajjad prayers regularly, that time is best for Dua.
May ALLAH fulfill everyones' jaiz khahishaat and bless everyone with success and happiness always ameen.

Re: Rough Patch

First of all select the time of Dua,

It can be Friday Prayer time or time of Tahajud.

Raise your hands, recite Darood-e-Ibrahimi, Thank Allah all mighty for all the skills, Ikraam and Rehma HE have blessed you with.
Recite his names, if not all then at least Rehman and Raheem, do it from bottom of your heart. and then ask him to help you out from these difficult times, like he have helped you earlier and like he have helped HIS men before you.

End your Dua with Reciting Darood-e-Ibrahimi... InshaÁllah you shall be blessed with the rehmat of Allah, and while doing so please pray for me as well.
