Just out of curiosity, where do you live and what time are you calling them?
It maybe because of the time difference between where u live and Pakistan?

I've looked at a ton of bridal dresses and Memoona Manan has some of the best ones i've seen, i'm surprised she's not more popular! I'm trying to get that dress the one in the link above, but I can't get in touch with with those numbers. ughh they are so unreliable in Pakistan!

i spoke to Faraz Manan on the phone (by the way, the landline numbers are disconnected) and I asked him to qoute a price for the dress. He said that it would cost 3 lakhs which is even beyond my initial estimate. He said that they were taking orders for Decemeber round about now, but could fit something in a little earlier.
He also said that he could work around your budget to reduce the kaam as the kaam currently on the dress is quite alot.

At todays US dollar rate then it works out to be around $4925.
I didn't actually ask if he would deliver to the US but nearly all designers deliever abroad.
If you want to catch him on the phone, then call the ( 00 92 300 843 1180 )mobile number as the other numbers don't work. You'll probably have to call him like 6 in the morning US time as the time difference is pretty great between Pakistan and the US.

I'm actually in the UK, but I recently went to Pakistan to order some bridal clothes for my Bhaabi.
Having spoken to some designers, typical bridal dresses from the likes of Memoona Manan, Nickie Nina, Faiza Samee, HSY, Karma, Nomi Ansari etc were in the region of 2 to 4 lakhs ( thats around $3300 to $6500 ). You will actually find that some designers will compromise on the price without any changes to the dress simply because they don't want you to go to someone else.
Personally I would give them a call and tell them your budget, but state that you don't want to reduce the kaam AT ALL !and see what price he offers you. I found it helps with reducing the price by telling them you have appointments to speak with other designers such as HSY and Karma, which can get them worried in case you go to them, but you could say that you would ideally like to order with them instead.
I get the impression that reducing the kaam may affect the overall look, but maybe the work on the blouse could be reduced. The work on the border of the lehenga looks too good as it is, so I wouldn't really touch that.

Do you think Faraz would work within a $2500 budget instead of 5K for that dress? Do they take payments before they start making the dress or when its done?

I'm not sure, but there is no harm in asking!
He may try and offer another design for that budget, but do tell him that you are looking into other designers as well.
Most designers will take a 50% deposit and the other 50% on completion.

I couldn't find any larger or closer pics and that is the reason I mentioned the names of the magazines they appeared in. You'll find better pics if you manage to find the issues.
