Rotten tomatoes and Pak cricketers

I suggest everybody should make the most of this World Cup because it doesn’t look like we’ll have much of a team after it. Batting wise we’ve struggled for a while but the real problems are going to be bowling which has always been our strength. With Wasim and Waqar coming to the end of the road and Shoaib pissing away his talent (literally if the story about him urinating in a SA flowerpot is true) looks like we might soon have an attack as crap as India’s. Sami looks good, but Zahid is ordinairy going by his performance in that last match.

The attitude of the whole team was a disgrace in that last match and some of these ‘superstars’ who always get a great reception in England might get a shock when they visit later on in the summer. I’ve always thought that the rotten tomatoes welcomes that the team get in Pakistan after losing was out of order but after watching that shambles I swear I’d join in myself.

The problem with us desis (including me) is that we grant players divine status when they win and devil status when they lose. We have no moderation and can't keep our emotions in check. :D

besides the tomatoes and rotten eggs, lets start worry if we'll be worse than Zimbabwe/India/Kenya may be Bengladesh as well because we will be losing Wasim after world cup, and Shoaib injuring every other day, Waqar losing his rhythm day by day. That leaves us with Sami and Zahid.

How many batsmen think of Sami and Zahid as lethal?

Man if you guys so the attitude some of these players are showing these days despite underperforming for a year you’d understand. I don’t mind if they aren’t good enough but there’s not really much excuse for not putting in the effort.

This time they really do deserve those tomatoes :hehe:

I have got some rotten eggs as well, maybe we can take them to the ground together during the summer and welcome our team. But then you will have to come down to the sunny and beautiful midlands for that.

I’ve been there once before mate and almost ended up getting killed :hehe:

If this team is still worth watching by then might well see you there. Let’s go for extra large eggs.

I lost every bit of respect I had for this team in the last World Cup when they lost to Bangladesh. There is something called national pride, which they should've been playing for no matter how unimportant the match is but unfortunately this seems to be something totally unheard of to every man in our team.

Come what may.. one thing's for sure. Our cricket team has finally achieved their purpose. They have under-performed so much recently that the expectations from us Pakistanis are pretty much non-existent.

Nothing works better than to be the under-dogs. No pressure. We expect them to lose every single match anyway.

So, if they win anything at all ... to use the American slang... that will will be so cool! :)

I don’t even wanna waste my rotten eggs and tomatoes on our stupid cricket team :hehe:
