My roti is round but it’s thick from the middle and so it’s kacha.
what do i do? roll it more thin?

Are you using an electric stove? I find making the flame slower and pressing the roti with a cloth on the raw bits helps a lot.

Take a smaller pera and then when you are rolling it out, ensure you apply pressure in the middle bit. When its thinner in the middle its easier to thin out the borders as well. Also thinning it out in the middle helps achieve a round roti !

Ugh, can’t make roti’s whatever stove I use. Mera electric stove ka bahana hota tha, until one day ammi came round and made gol, phulki phulki rotiyan on my chula… ![]()
