Rotation Policy or Fluctuation policy…Its (the right) Time for Malik
Right at the start of this ODI series, Inzamam talked about the rotation policy, i.e., every player will be rested after a few games to provide him some rest and to test new talent. But mostly events do not occur as planned and right now a few players are out for rest due to injuries.
Players were injured outside the field, one in practice session, and another in lavatory. Anyways injury is injury. But with a lot of things going against us outside the field, we need to hire one specialist who can train our team for out-of-the-field activities.
Moreover, with Shoaib and Afridi, almost out for the rest of this ODI series, and with India already leading 2-1, it is time to consult expertise of people who are well-known for their abilities to turn the game in such situations.
Yes we need to (temporarily) hire Salim Malik immediately, if we want to turn things our way and make a comeback in this series. He is the Malik of such situations.
If PCB can hire Mushtaq Ahmed to train fast bowlers, and then they require Akhter to bowl same overs as Mushtaq was used to bowl at his best. Then I find nothing wrong in hiring Malik. (ohhh, he is (also) banned by ICC
)
