FAMOUS URDU NOVELS: Roshan sitara novel by Sarwat Nazir
Re: roshan sitara
thnkx for the link....
i agree wth u n even promo is not appealing :(
Re: roshan sitara
Sounds almost like dur-e-shahwar to me...
Re: roshan sitara
It is based on a novel? Can anyone sum up the story for me?
I saw the 1st episode and I quite liked it. I just hope it doesn’t turn out the way I am thinking, the younger brother at some point getting married to Roshan. That would be weird.
Re: roshan sitara
Does anyone else think that Sanam Baloch does very similar kind of roles? The simple girl from the 1960's type? Plus her look in similar in each drama. These days, I have trouble differentiating her between Dur-e-Shehwar and Roshan Sitara.
Again, because of her, I don't want to watch this new drama. It's too redundant seeing the same look again and again.
Re: roshan sitara
^ I agree she does have a tendency to take the same type of roles. But I'll watch her in these 1960s type roles any day OVER the modern day characters. I honestly thought she sucked big time in Kuch Pyar ka pagalpan bhi tha. Those type roles just don't suit her. :-\
Re: roshan sitara
In Daam she played a relatively modern girl and she did well. KPKP had a lame story, if any and Aisha Khan's stupid accent made it even more cringe worthy
Re: roshan sitara
^ Oh yes, I completely forgot about Daam. But you are right, KPKPT was just a horrible drama overall, and that reminds me of Akbari Asghari. Gosh how terrible was that?! It can't be a coincidence that she would do so bad in KPKT and AA as well? I honestly don't think those crazy/funny/wannabe roles are for her.
Re: roshan sitara
She was ok in Chemistry including cheesy scenes with Danish Taimur ;)
Re: roshan sitara
Ali bahi may I ask you a question. Who is your most favorite 'Arifa Siddiqui' or 'Sanam Baloch'?

Both.
In old years Arifa now Sanam. Arifa is not coming in dramas now days.
Re: roshan sitara
I just love the locations used in this drama.
Re: roshan sitara
Just looking at the synopsis in the first post...........it looks like Durr-e-Shahwar all over again (a character named Mansoor, Samina Peerzada....same network.....etc).
The OST is only thing different....which I seem to like.
Re: roshan sitara
for people who are in love with Sanam Baloch they will be delighted to know that she is playing a double role that of mom and daughter. The daughter's name is Sitara and the younger brother played by Moammar rana will fall in love with her.
Re: roshan sitara
Nowadays Sanam has the same getup in a lot of dramas. I get confused which is which lol.
is this one worth watching ?

if you enjoy stories about mazloom aurat and zaalim husband/samaj.
it looks like Bano from Dastaan of the 40s went to Durr-e-Shahwar of the 70s and then back to her Dastaan getup as Roshan Sitara.
In the middle she tried to play a British and American girl and miserably failed.
Re: roshan sitara
^ so true! i'm sure even she got sick of playing these repetitive period roles thus experimenting with roles like kuch pyar ka pagalpan, but unfortunately that look bombed. she is going to be typecasted forever now...but since she is a really good artist I somehow do not mind seeing her in these roles, she does justice to them every time. she was phenomenal in 'daastan', which started this whole period drama craze in the first place.
