It depends on the time and season.. last year some of my relatives landed back from Hajj on the Velintines's Day.. and the task of getting the rose flowers for them was my duty - and u bet what happened !!

Pakistan roses have lot of fragrance. Roses in London are big in size and are of various colours - but hardly any fragrance.

Fragrance in summer - bela/motia, jhumar bail, champa, chanbeli, harsinghar, raat ki raani aur din ka raja!

didnt had time for such adventure - had to buy exxxxxxxxxxtremely expensive and they ended up on hajis rather than somebodys’ ashiq/mashoooqs :bummer:

Pakistan is in really sad state. However, I often wonder who is responsible for that.

There are two major type of roses available here.

1 - Small naturally fragerenced roses ( pink colored ) usually they are broken town in petals and their petals are used in events like shadi, and jenazah etc.

2 - Bigger roses not frangerenced but available in multicolors and they are used in bouquets and given separately as on 14th feb and also to decorate cars and rooms :)

Around 14th feb like any other commodity Roses are hoarded and eventually sold in black by profiteers. So you should also stock roses for your valentines before hand in your refrigerators or go for advance booking :)

The first form would cost you around 50 rs per KG usually. the rose buds and full roses bouequet will cost you 100-200rs with 10-20 rose buds ( provided if you buy it from roadside shops). If you buy from professional high end flower shops ( e.g flower shop in Mini market gulberg lahore) the rates will be high with lot of variety and NICE packing options.
