Saw google doodle about this absolutely brilliant scientist, but it’s a bit of a sad story as she wasn’t properly recognised for her work on DNA structure and she died so young at the age of 37. Also when the *** Watson, crick and Wilkins were given the Nobel prize she was left out as she had already died.

^oh yes..I was reading about her too...thank you for posting it here...
Re: Rosalind franklin google doodle
^^ Seems like no one else is interested though
Re: Rosalind franklin google doodle
^hehehe...it takes a while!
Re: Rosalind franklin google doodle
I saw a documentary on her several years ago, possibly called “DNA - Secret of Photo 51” on Nova. Also, the book “The Double Helix: A Personal Account of the Discovery of the Structure of DNA” mentions her. I bought it a while ago, but have yet to read it fully and therefore cannot critique it at this time. It was really wrong for her to not have been fairly credited for her work all those years ago.
Men…
Re: Rosalind franklin google doodle
can u post the link?
Re: Rosalind franklin google doodle
Yes. If you meant a link to the documentary, here it is: DNA - Secret of Photo 51 (NOVA). The book on the other hand was written by James D. Watson, with an introduction by Sylvia Nasar (author of “A Beautiful Mind”). However, since the book was written by one of “those men”, I am not quite sure as to how balanced it really is (especially in regards to Ms. Franklin’s contributions).
