I went to Roop Singhar in Liberty Market Lahore yesterday. I was looking to buy Hollywood USA (Brand) whitening lotion as a I have some dark patches on my knees and elbows and was looking for a lightening solution to even out the skin tone.
An attendant at the shop ended up persuading me to buy a small (it does look very tiny in comparison to the tube of lotion I was about to purchase) jar of ‘Nikhar’ (Herbal Fairness and Whitening Cream) (NOT Bio Nikhar!). He said it was one of thei rtop selling products and was used internationally and even recommended by doctors!
Needless to say - I got suckered in!!
I came home and tried to find some reviews on it or some mention on Forums but nothing turned up. I found some hits about BIO Nikhar but not this product. It comes with a one week money back guarantee.
Now I’m on here asking all you good people - Has any one ever used it? What were the results? Would you recommend it?
This is my first time posting on here and I really hope to hear back from you guys! Please
Never heard of it before bt then maybe cuz i dnt use any such products thats y.
Bt i wonder how do women shop lingerie at RS, its just so disgusting how they dnt have a female attendant for that purpose and i remember long ago when i went there for shoes i heard the attendant saying to the lady nahii aap ka size yeh hoga and they r like staring at their body parts to figure out the size. Thats so disgusting! i wonder how women can go thru that. Seriously.
I also went to roop singhar. and i think the attendant also suggest nikhar product. I found that nikhar toner is good and mud muask (that is in powder form) was bit god. but face wash was full of chemicals as results wasn't so good.
I think they refers thss products to everyone. whoever go there. and secondly i noticed they didn't give the right products to u. if i was asking for liner of mac they give some other . not good they deal with customer.
LOL... roop sighar have their own home based laboratory where they "invent" their own products and then refer them to everyone.
Their salespersons are quite misleading so better not listen to them, not to mention they are very rude and arrogant. Plus their products are more expensive compared to a lot of other shop selling the same stuff, and then they tell you what they sell is genuine and what others sell is counterfeit. which is quite funny though.
Everywhere you go in the market here, ppl tell you that this and that happens or is famous all around the world, Once i asked back a gold shop salesmen that, how much of the world you have seen and he was like speechless. He was so lying and i was so angry at that time lol..
anyway....
however, some of their products turn out quite good though, but who likes to be a Ginnie pig? Go to hyperstar HKB or alfatah. you'll see more variety of hollywood brand products.
Go to a dermatologist and get a cream that contains a bleaching agent such as hydroquinone at higher than 2%. That would provide faster results, but make sure to apply sunscreen about 30 minutes before going out in the day because it will make your skin more sensetive to the son and can result in hyperpigmentation. Or....you can get a commercial product containing hydroquinone at a lower concentration, which will take some time. Other lightening agents include kogic acid, licorice, etc.

This is ditto what happened with me three days back. I asked for a concealer and he showed me two small bottles, RS 450 each. He said that by mixing both creams at night and applying it, I would get rid of the marks left by electrolysis on my face. There was no name written on the bottles, but just a sticker which did not give any information. Likewise, he told me to buy two bottles and can return within a week if I didnt find the required results. Just at that moment I realized it could be a mixture of steroids...tried asking him but he was like...every beautician and doctor buys this for skin whitening etc..I donno but something in my head warned me so I did nt buy it. Thanks for informing guys..this is so true that they guys give their own advice. I went to buy foundation recommended by my beautician and they gave me another one :$ Next time, I would be careful and consider buying it from Alfatah instead.
Isn’t Hydroquinone banned? I’m sure it is in the UK. I do not think that sort of stuff should be used, especially for such a delicate area like the face. BBC Inside Out -
