I am talking about rooney f today, not what rooney could be down the road..
I dunno, I think he is good, but I dont think he is all that, he has the potential.. but he is clearly not the best player in the team, i would place hargreaves and gerrard above him and also Terry among others.
So lets see..I think he is overhypd, I think he is being hailed as something he has the capacity to become but not something that he currently is.
His international goal drought since 2004 speaks volumes to me.
He is a really good player but typically hailed by english media as the best thing that could have happened to english football. He can do magic with that ball at his feet but he needs time to grow as any professional would. Come to think of it, he is just 20.
A great player with huge potential but grossly publicized and focused upon.
