Choti, i think u r being too sensitive about this Sonia person. So what if she is in a sulk? Let her sulk and ignore her. Don't say anything more about it to her.
From now on, SPEAK YOUR MIND to this Sonia if she is being INCONSIDERATE and do not pander to her.

Room mate problems are so terrible...you cant do much and if you do something...you never know if it was the right thing to do.
The note might not have been the best way to go but its okay now because at least you made your point and she knows she is loud. Personally, if someone is being rude and imposing on other peoples' personal space it needs to be addressed right away.
If you do decide to keep her as a room mate for next year, maybe you can have a talk about it before they come back? Set some ground room mate rules that are fair to everyone but also let her know that she has got to tone it down.
I feel for you though...thats got to be tough. TV blaring for two hours and then phone gossip.

yeah, i think i'm going to buy a new place and live with my hubby inshallah and put the whole place for rent so the new four can fight over it. UGHHHHHHHH, i can't wait to move out!
