nice try ... what is the light source at about 2 o'clock off the queen card? It has to be coming from the top .. the lamp cannot do it due to its circular shape ... (has to be unifrom round) .. if the light source is on the top and is not a SPOT light, then what explians the perfect shadow of the card deck?

also, make your shadows softer on the edges .. hard edges can only be produced by strong spot lights .. the lamp in your image will produce soft shadows ...

otherwise .. good job ...

azkar bhai,, thats the lamps reflection off the shiny table i guess,, not another light source.
and yaaraa cool work,,, pretty impressive.

fly like a bee,, sting a like a butterfly.

Looks cool

kakay meri jaan .. the source (lamp) is emitting circular pattern .. raytracing takes this seriously ... if it were the lamp then the card desk's top will also be illuminated ... as well as the queen .. which tell me more that its a spot source on the ceiling somewhere .. but then again, we have to wait for the artist’s thoughts on this one .. we dont know the light sources here ...

The lamp glow is a point light souce (have to change that) and a media effect with some emmiting and absorb with a tiny pinch of scattering. The lamp light also has decreasing intensity with respect to distance defined so that the light doesn't illuiminate the entire room. Most old fashioned lamps don't illimunate the entire room; like candle lights.

There is another point light source outside the window to simulate the "moonlight effect"; if you look carfully on the deck of card you'll see the shadow of the window blinds. The light also has decreasing intensity sue to distance like the lamp.

The reason the cards don't give off the yellow media glow of the lamp is because of there is no specular defined on the fecet of the cards..... should there be one??????? SInce most paper deck cards are not specular. The plastic on the wall socket other wise is specular. THe table on the other hand has a nice specular to simulate polished table wood with very little (too little) reflection defined.
