Air freshners are ok but such a temporary measure. So far from all the things i’ve used Ambi Purr plug ins are the tops. What else do you guys and gyals use to make your house smell nice ![]()

Re: Room Smellies
I use aromatherapy scents and jars. It’s nice, you just put a few drops on top of the jar and light it up with a tea light and the scents fills up practically the entire house. My favourite is the Satsuma and Tobacco Flower scents.
Re: Room Smellies
Yup like Pink mentioned get your hands on some febreeze.
Re: Room Smellies
That sounds nice, where do you get scents and jars from Mehnaz?
Re: Room Smellies
I got mine from The Body Shop. Surprise surprise. :p
Re: Room Smellies
try fresh flowers...lilies have long lasting smell that permeates through the room and you dont get the chemical smell smell that you get from plug ins
also fruit bowls...some fruit like pinapple or even plums left at room temp have the most gorgeous smell....and taste delicious too (Ive never had a problem with fruit fly although in some places you may)
MenazQ said...essential oils... you can get those distilled from flowers/fruit ...lavender/lemon/rose/vanilla etc and those that are made from some oil mixed with chemical type thingies
these can come in smells like strawberry, woodland garden, summer berries, peach stone, hyacinth, goldencornfield and doormice etc
these can be used in candle burners or if you have radiators (that are in use) you can use your finger too rub a couple of drops on the back-side(towards the wall) of the radiator ...as it heats up the fragrance will be released.
make of buy pot pourri and add oils of your choice.
one more point to remember, you'll find that after a while you may not notice the smell, that doesnt always mean that the smell has gone but that you have gotten used to it.
Re: Room Smellies
plug-ins, candles, room freshners and liquid bottle ones that has a wick thing
Re: Room Smellies
Like Mehnaz, I use aromatherapy oils from the body shop. I add some drops to a ceramic ring and put the ring on top of a light bulb (a floor lamp)...instant fragrance.
I also use agarbathi, candles and febreeze.
