Re: room project..
garbage bags blocked complete light when they were newly-placed..
Re: room project..
I think tint would've blocked MOST of it, depending on how dark you get it

Re: room project..
You could always put that mosaic type window paper. It is like tinted paper but the colors are dark and the paper thing is thick and it blocks light. If you are too much on light then you can you the colorful one from inside and the regular tined one from out, I bet you light would dare to come in...
But instead of paining it blk you could just have painted it in white with regular paint wall paint. It will make your room look big and will block the light.

Re: room project..
foil? what wonderful advice!
Re: room project..
Since I work an occasional night shift myself, i know the agony of not being able to sleep during the day due to sunlight peeking through the tiniest of cracks.
I considered painting the windows, which after seeing that picture i'm glad I didnt do. I did make myself some blackout curtains, the kind they have in hotels. Just bought a pair of panels from Ikea in a midnight blue colour and attached an acrylic lining to the back.....voila no more sunlight/light. As far as the set of doors being used frequently during the summer, panels can be tied back so they arent in the way.
Re: room project..
neah .. no panels.. no curtains.. no holes or railings .. stick-ons are useless as they start to peel off from the heat.. i needed something permanent and firm..
and no, no white paint.. its bad enough that EVERY corner in room is white.. ON white
Re: room project..
I do have to admit, painting the glass was ballsy. And I guess given enough coats and a nice finishing and edging job, it will probably look really good. Chalo faizy, fauran se peshtar is project ko khatam karo aur phir pictures post karo.
Re: room project..

Re: room project..
NY Trip? Driving? Flying? If driving, are you gonna go through Rochester? If so, stop by for tea and biscoot!
Re: room project..
Faizy, if you like to make it colorful you can still put the window film sheets without giving a second paint cote. It will make it pretty, clean, and is easy to do…
Window film
Re: room project..
the window film is actually a really good idea.

Re: room project..
Yowzers!!! Faizy yeh kya kiya!! It looks horrible! Makes the room looks like some ghetto slum where a person living in it is running away from the authorities.
