YEEESSSSSSSS!

Ronaldinho has so much skills - it’s like you expect to see him do something cool once he has the ball - very happy to see one of my fav players receiving such an honor

all hail Ronaldinho!!

erm...no thanks :p

He's a flukey player and most of his goals are flukes!!

Thierry Henry on the other hand is much more than just a good player, this man has real skill and none of his goals are flukey!

He's only 24???
nice

He is a deserving winner. Scores goals when needed and makes goals for his teammates out of no where.

Women

So let me guess the last time you saw him play was agianst England in the World Cup 2002. There is a world of football outside the premiership. :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway chick, I do think Henry deserves to win at least one award for his play over the last 2/3 years, but he hasnt been that impressive in the later stages of the Champions League or for his country in the big tournaments. Thats what counts agianst him. If he was playing like this in Spain or Italy he would have won by now, so go figure.

saby - Henry’s been doing the same and much more, hes got like over 40 goals in the calendar year.

But Henry's inability to produce at international stage has counted against him like you pointed out yourself. Henry doesnt do often what Ronni does, for example in the all important match against AC milan in CL this year.

What has Ronnie done for Brazil this year (2004 only), he wasnt even a part of the Copa America team.

Thats one goal in CL this year, so what?, Henry scored a hatrick at Inter last year. And Ronnie couldnt do nothing against Celtic in the UEFA cup last year (last 16), Barcelona got knocked out after a 0-0 draw at home.

Really neither Henry or Ronaldinho done that great at international or in Europe, so you cant make that comparison. If you look at their league performances Arsenal won the league undefeated and he had 40+ goals and 20 assists in all comp. Not saying Ronnie was a bad choice (read the other thread, I predicted few months back that he'll win), but Henry has been class all year, and think he should have won something, instead of coming second all the time.

this is exaclty why i dont post here too much, discrimination against my opinion woman elert!!! urgh you men are so nasty man :snooty:

I refuse to watch Ronaldinhowino play after 2002, that man caused the death of David Seaman, who now, bless his giangantic (i know i can’t spell!) hands, has to play for Man City…what is the world coming to?

P.s the use of the word chick does make your comment any less patronising in the sense that im a woman and therefor should not have an opinion regarding flukey footballers :stuck_out_tongue:

I know Henry has been in awesome form this whole year and he still is going strong but the thing is that Ronaldinho has produced good performances in WC qualifiers as well as his past record internationally has been better than Henry.

Yeah I wouldnt have been disappointed with Henry either.

nah i disagree henry should've won the award, just like last year he was pipped to it. ronaldinho is a class act but since his fluke against england he hasn't play as well as henry has. + henry terrorises the defences with a solo act and makes a habit of running ragged and scoring goals from the acute of angles not just in the premiership but the champions league to, for example, i remember henry scoring a classy hat-trick against inter milan away during a champions league match.

and missy d. seaman doesn't play for man city anymore, david james is 1st choice now, d. saman retired a while back!

David James looks like a muppet, when he has his hair all blonde...pint of guiness.

I love David Seaman and his giant hands...bless him :)

^ unfortunately seaman's gigantic hands weren't strong enough to stop a fluke hitting the top corner! + d. james doesn't have the flair he had at liverpool + he's getting on a bit now, maybe he should become a fulltime painter, robinson and kirklad should be 1 and 2 for england.

Re: Ronaldinho Crowned King of the World

why can’t you be just honest and say Henry is better looking than Ronaldinho?

Re: Ronaldinho Crowned King of the World

Looks has nothing to do with football talent chick…although if i was to consider them, id say Henry wins, Ronaldino may also be a looker, but considering his flukiness, Henry would be would be a much safer bet to be classed as better looking.

Why must you boys assume that i would class a football player based on his looks? that really is ignorant you know…

I’m not liking all this discrimination towards any of my views on football, i expected better from this so called inclusive forum. :snooty:
