In college, most girls I know read Mills & Boons and other romantic novels where these perfect men rescued them from their otherwise sucky lives. Many of the girls would swoon over the characters and live in a fantasy land and all of a sudden boom, one day they’d get married and their dreams were shattered!
So what’s the trend today? What are the hot novels that transport young women into the land of undying love and a bubble of illusion?

I didn't like twilight.....I couldn't believe I wasted a week on reading the whole series, I kept hoping for it to get better, and it didn't.
So to answer your question, Niksik, these days most young women(my younger sister and her friends are obsessed) dream of marrying a perfect vampire (read Edward). Lord only knows, what will happen when they are brought back to earth!

i read everything and anything and yes girls around me r obsessed with girly novels but i guess romance novels r not my thing

I think every one has one ideal to be married with , yes the Novels , while reading them , one will think oneself as the hero of the story struggling for getting his/her love.
But when the reallity comes most of the fantasies shatters , however , some will express after marraige "Honey ..... You are so sweet .... Beyond of expectations" ...
