Romantic Food ...

So What would be your top choice in food for a romantic dinner?

Friends and I were talking yesterday and someone said pasta … and we all thought Pasta is very unromantic food :hmmm: , not a good choice for a romantic evening :lifey:

Re: Romantic Food …

oysters are supposed to be an aphrodisiac :jano:

Re: Romantic Food …

 I wish i liked seafood :hinna: …

Re: Romantic Food ...

ah, well then.....

what about starting off with a nice and light chicken ceasar salad then move to sweet and sour beef on a bed of lightly buttered rice with a side dish of dumplings and end with some gorgeous molten chocolate pudding which is basically a chocolate cake with a warm centre of melted chcolate.

Re: Romantic Food ...

For some reason I agree with you, pasta isn't really very romantic, maybe because it can be quite a heavywieght dish.

However... If you were to serve a small bundle of ribbon pasta in a creamy sauce, topped with something like salmon steak and scatter slightly roasted vegetables around it, it could look romantic.

Seafood is supposed to be romantic, like a selection latter of prawns, salmon, crab canapes etc. I'm not much of a seafood fan either.

Romantic food should be light, I think.

Re: Romantic Food ...

Strawberries with a chocolate fondue and some cream on the side....

As long as its filling, it can romance all it likes in my tummy :)

An example, a good Chicken Biryani

:naraz::omg:

Yeah definitely I agree with Rupay , something lighter and in smaller portions is perhaps the best :lifey:

Re: Romantic Food …

Noodles not pasta are what you need on a romantic evening :hehe:

OK seriously i’d probably say something light and easy like a bit of chicken, followed by something sweet like halva… :yummy:

Re: Romantic Food ...

definately something light which won't bloat you!!

greek/chicken salad followed (anything fresh)

prawns, salmon, or chicken on a bed of rissotto or veggies

followed by something chocolate, something strawberry and something cream! Hmmmmmm

Re: Romantic Food …

Ojari and siri paye :yummy: followed by maghaz ka halwa :heaven:

Re: Romantic Food …

Masi :hayaa: … buah

Re: Romantic Food …

CB, how about a nice paratha ?

:jano: :omg:

My idea of heaven :lifey:

Any food made by my significant other is romantic to me

I recommend food that is high in zinc (sardines, salmon, caviar, scallops), has a little spice (chilli, cumin, nutmeg) and releases the serotonin (chocolate!)…so:

Starters: seared scallops with a chilli dressing

Mains: Salmon curry

Dessert: warm dark chocolate fondant infused with cardamom…served with milk ice cream and a scattering of strawberries or any berry you like.

Re: Romantic Food …

:hehe:

YUCK!!!

Re: Romantic Food ...

I guess some French recipe would do it... :D

Re: Romantic Food …

Cheese Fondue with pieces of fresh bread and some sort of meat to dip into it.
Chocolate Fondue with pieces of cake, strawberry, and pineapple to dip into it.

:yummy:

…romantic because you can feed each other  I

Depends on what you want to accomplish :hmmm:
