Roman

I think i should have asked this question long before, can u tell me please what are the rules regarding moderating a thread in religious forum. I found one of the Ahmedi commenting on the Mir’aaj event. To me it is really insulting. My question is whether these kind of threads will be allowed to exist, and that if tomorrow a hindu comes and tells all of us that our islam is wrong, will his threads also be allowed to exist.

Please consult with the Admins before replying.

Thank you.

Abdullah, click below to see your answer to the post above as I cant reply you here. Its against the laws of this forum to reply before the moderators.

Abdulla - The rules of this forum are the same as of those which apply to Gupshup.

To take at look at them, please click on the 'Register' link found at the upper right hand corner of the page and you should see the rules and policies outlined there.

And, No, I don't need to consult with Admin to answer your question.

If you are talking about the thread that is posted by Zalim above, then I don't see anything wrong with it... You are welcomed to present your own view on the topic equally.

roman,
i am actually impressed by your fair moderation. however, fair or unfair, you will find me supporting your decision.

Roman

Thanks for your reply, but please can you answer my last question also.

Abdulla - if you are referring to your question

My answer is that if the contents of the thread abide by gupshup rules and few others specified by me under the thread 'Some basic rules' then 'Yes'.

As a muslim or a non-muslim, anybody has the complete right to analyze, explore, and bring to light any truth about any religion of the world here at gupshup. Everybody is free to express his/her opinion or analysis as long as it does not conflict with the set of rules I described above. If you don't agree with someone then prove him/her wrong.

I will absolutely allow it.

Roman : I dont think you have the capacity to moderate the religious section. Quit dilly dallying over your incessant rules that you tend to regergitate every time. If I am a muslim, which I am, and someone I think insults my beliefs, then you need to moderate, which is exactly what abdulla is saying.

And by the way do the same for other sects...

Zman,
So you are proposing we get a mullah as a moderator!

Look, my friend, in this society - everyone is equal before God & the law; and this Forum will have to reflect that attitude. It can't be seen as biased towards any one particular group.

Myself - I think all the moderators do a relatively good job; especially so for the Religious section moderator given the 'stressful' condition that exists.

I have had my disagreements and will probably have some more; hey, that's the way life goes - you win some; you loose some.

God is equal to all. May they be of any religion, god provides them food shelter light protection. god gives them hapinesses and sorrows. God is just and believs in equality. we must too!

Dear Moderater,
I think you should be strict about such people making comments on whether or not you are a suitable moderator.

The suitability of the Moderator is for the Administrative Team Management of the site to decide.

Roman is here and shall remain here.

Zeman and Abdullah and all those who think like them.. a question for you..
Which Islam do you follow?? The one presented by our beloved Holy Prophet one which is presented by your maulvi sahib or the?? han? You attitude reflects more of the later one.

Dears, Have you ever looked upon your fallacies?? have you ever attain a bit of tolerance from your faith? If the answer is NO then read Quran, Islam is not merely a lip service. Attain some Taqwa, be humble and dont be so rigid like your masters..... [only if you want to prosper]

Allah says that there is no compulsion in religion... yet you still wants to conquer Islam by your harsh and rigid attitude.. wow.. what can I say more I am simply a heretic Kafir in your eyes. ager mai musalamaan hota to shaid aap meri baatain samajh main aateen..

My dear Muslim brothers and Sisters ! Remember, Patience is a great virtue. The person who practices patience and does not speak in anger, his speech is not his speech, it is God who makes him speak. The Muslims should act with patience and should not return the opponent's harshness and should not be abusive in response to abuse. It is not necessary that a person who falsifies one should refer to him with respect. There were many examples of this in the life of the Holy Prophet(sa). There is nothing like patience but patience is a very difficult thing to adopt in practice. God supports him who is patient.

Abdulmalik: Me and following Mullah's, trust me I'm no where near Mullaism.

Zalim dont be so Zalim by answering your own assumptions about me. I never intended to hurt any sect and am sorry if I hurt yours.

Generally, what I am saying is that you cannot cut and paste rules of the forum in this section. Any bad insinuation on our Prophet Mohammed(PBUH) should be dealt with severly. Guys I hope you'll realize that there is no comparison between Our Prophet Mohammed(PBUH) and Mirza Ghulam. You'll should realize the importance of Prophet Mohammed(PBUH) vs Mirza Gulam, they cannot be compared, they are not even in the same category.

Therefore dont reprimand a guy who does Mirza Ghulam bashing and let the other guy get away with saying/insinuating bad things about our Prophet Mohammed(PBUH).

Jewels : Whats this man, if you want to complain to the moderator then please do it in the open. Stand on your own feet, it builds character.
