"Roman Urdu" typing

Which one is for the following is easier to type?

  1. baiThe biThaaye Khayaal aayaa k vo kabootar kii jagah faaKhta uRaayeNge. har daf’a kabootaroN kii uRaan ke muqaabile meN

  2. baithe bithaaye khayaal aayaa k vo kabootar kii jagah faakhta uraayenge. har dafa kabootaron kii uraan ke muqaabile main

I am not sure about typing, but it seems much easier to read ‘2’.

I wonder if it is only me.

bhai mere, ek saHeeH tareeqa hotaa hai aur ek ghalat tareeqa...jab koii Ghalat taHreer type karne kaa tareeqa raa'ij ho jaaye aur use Ghalat ke bajaaye saHeeH samjhaa jaaye to is tarz-e-taHreer ko Ghalat ul 'aam kahte haiN.

ab Ghalat-ul-'aam meN merii to koii Ghalatii nahiiN.

duusrii baa, chuN k Urdu meN hazaarhaa aise alfaaz haiN jinkaa ham Hind o Paak meN saHeeH talaffuz iste'maal nahiiN karte to aise alfaaz jinkii aawaazeN yaksaaN haiN magar ma'nii judaa judaa to in alfaaz ko agar unkii hijje ke mutaabiq likhaa jaaye to paRhne waale ko kam az kam ifhaam o tafheem meN aasaanii hogii.

maiN sirf ek hii misaal duuNgaa:

Hindi kaa lafz sahi aur 'Arabii kaa lafz saHeeH ham ek hii tareeqe se bolte haiN jab k donoN ke ma'aanii alga alag haiN. ab in meN farq zaahir karne ke liye likhaavaT bhii hijje ke mutaabiq hii honii chaahiye.

mere Khayaal se hameN roman rasm ul Khat meN saHeeH aue vaazeH taur par Urdu likhne ko faroGh denaa chaahiye na k us par tanqeed aur tanqees kii jaaye.

If you are trying to get a message across, then singing classical music in front of an audience which cannot appreciate it would be of no use. Hence the use of parables by learned people who want to reach out to masses with their messages. Imagine Neil De Grasse Tyson discussing mathematical equations to describe Jupiter's orbit around sun. Although factually and scientifically correct, but very few people would be able to understand.

If, on the other hand, you are trying to promote proper use of roman alphabets to write Urdu without consideration of whether readers would like to read it or not, then it is fine.

Again, it is my personal opinion and that's why I asked in this thread if the problem is with only me being unable to easily read sTufF wRit'Ten lIke tHiS.

maine to mushkil ki baat ki thi. I can read, write roman Urdu, but its difficult as compared to writing English.

well, a classical singer can NOT sing an ITEM song lolz.

i can’t write any other way because i’m used to it. i follow a certain 'transliteration scheme which i tried to introduce on GS 5 years ago but unfortunately got only a very few responses from Guppies and Guppans. here is the link to that thread:

if you go to any Urdu site of repute where roman Urdu is used, you’ll find that most people there use similar transliteration scheme.
