I have no time for TTP* lekin* *bhiron ke chattey mein haath dalna bhi aqalmandi nahin hai.. (sending troops into FATA was a stupid step by Musharraf)
PTI are paying already, have had 2 or 3 MPAs killed since the election*

PPP did not have much role in creating Taliban b/c no political govt was ever in control of foreign policy with regards to Afghanistan and India. Taliban were there since Afghan/Russia war & were rebranded by Pakistani army as "Taliban" in 1990s to fight opposition headed by Ahmad Shah Massod in Afghan civil war.

There are many many evidences of PPP’s role in supporting/creating Taliban. I recall a statement wherein Naseerullah Babar proudly claimed that he/PPP created Taliban. The ex-FM of Taliban also gives credit to BB/Naseerullah:

Have read numerous articles where it is more than confirmed that Naseer ullah Babar and Benazir had complete knowledge of what was going on and Maulana Fazal also played his role with Benazir’s blessings.

Peoples party is innocent in this regard, taleban khan hay na. Current situation of the country is due to him.

Ground invasion of FATA was not necessary. They could have mined or fenced the border between KPK and FATA. Should have let the tribal jirga etc. deal with the miscreants on their side of the border..

The current situation is due to US's mindless attack on Afghanistan. Their attack just shifted the terrorists eastwards towards Pakistan as the country had porous borders with Afghanistan. Pakistan conducted operations in swat and mohmand, and the Americans instead of hammering the fleeing cadres vacated their posts in Eastern Afghanistan providing them with safe havens. At the moment all the eastern areas of the country bordering Pakistan are in virtual Taliban control. Pakistan might have to conduct an operation in NWA at some stage but I don't think it would give desired results as there are terrorist safe havens all around the borders. Like the previous history the super power will leave the region leaving the countries to suffer the consequences.
