Media continues to give airtime to murderers and their apologists.
What can common people do to stop this?
Twitter campaign? Socials media? Phone calls? What else?

Re: Role of Media
There is a fine line between media air time exposing something and legitimising something. It was media's interview of Abdul Aziz after the Peshawar carnage that inspired a very useful and unique kind of protest outside of the Laal Masjid. It's unique in a sense that it wasn't done on any popular leader's call. Had the media not conducted that interview where the reporter basically just asked him a simple question that do you or do you not condemn what just happened, and he explicitly refused to condemn the massacre in any way.
His callousness was well recorded. It wasn't a case of misreporting or editorial propaganda or hearsay. Those were his words and he couldn't deny saying them. Without that interview, the general public would not have developed a much needed outrage against Lal Masjid. It would not have exposed government's inability to root out terrorist supporters and sympathisers breeding and multiplying under its own watch in its own backyard. Dawn would not have published an article educating the readers that man who is so proudly reluctant to condemn absolutely ruthless and barbaric killings of young children have been enjoying official security for last three years. So in a nutshell, that one single interview opened up a can of worms on Lal Masjid. The collective outrage and disgust it managed to induce was really needed.
Obviously the media needs to be responsible and must always remain concious of the difference between exposing and legitimising something. But to say that media should apply the ostrich approach and should not even highlight the other extreme won't solve any problems. The only way the public will be able to confront that extreme ideology and personalty when it is being put in front of them.
Re: Role of Media
There is nothing in media
It is a puppet
If it tries to go for truth
That could be made Geo , Geo of few months ago
It can do anything any time

24 hours coverage even all commercials were forhotten
Wanted to know truth , It happens in favor and against often , Not only IK , everyone
