I get very irritated by these dramas filled with sad scenes. As much as they’re necessary for communication about social problems…still its like almost every drama is a rhonay dhonay drama!

Some villager or woman or orphan complaining about oppression, some evil wadera as the villain…

Urgh !!!

Can’t they be more innovative in their drama topics? :mad:

PCG I know what u mean about the wadera’s they used to show many of that kind on Prime. since I’ve been watching GEO i haven’t seen any so far.

I do get irriated when they repeat a whole scene in flashbacks and also when they slow motion pyari shamo ‘phir kyun udhaas hai payar shamo playing the background’ in scenes where she’s upset

I get very mad when they show whole scenes in re-caps! :mad2:

Rotay dhotay dramas are fine so long as they are close to reality.

At least they’re far better than the attempted comedy dramas/sitcoms that make you :mad2: :smack2: :mad2::smack2:

Oh comon, they are not close to reality. Not every family has such a miserable life. It would be nice to show a realistic description of what NORMAL urban family life can be like. I hate all these villagy paindoo dramas with the evil waderas. Gimme a break. There are so many issues, and ghoom ghaam ke they arrive back at this one topic?

They need to make more dramas about today's issues facing young adults. Urban young adults.

Although I was speaking in general about the rotay dhotay dramas, but believe it or not some of the wadera/chaudhry stuff is quite true.

I knew a girl from Peshawar whose family was living here to avoid trouble back home due to khandani dushmani. I thought such stuff only happens in dramas, but it seems to be true.

Anyway, I'm not a big fan of zaalim wadera dramas. There are many other topics that could be dramatized and not only the ghisy pity wadera stories.

Also, dramas from Karachi don't focus on waderas and the like too often.
