I am amazed to find out that Rohingyas live in karachi too…
are there people from any regional country, not present in karachi?

In a nook I was reading an American visits Pakistan several times to build schools. There were some people who resemble gurkhas. They are great mountaineers. Start with M I think.

Nepalese, Bangladeshis, Beharis and Srilankans are also there. The Beharis I believe were settled in Punjab, but they found their way to Karachi too.

Could be as there are so many different kinds of people living there which are not present (at least in big numbers) in the rest of the country like Makranis (Sidis), Memons (some present in Punjab but not conspicuous), Gujaratis, Ismaelis, Bohras, I believe even Parsis also live there.

Parsis got their community centers and graveyards (tower of silence) in Karachi. They are the people who developed Karachi 
People like Jamshed Nasarwanji were the real asset of city. Parsis are very polite, patriot and philanthropist people.

I will dig that book up and see which community was being referred to. They were mountain people and would carry luggage etc of visitors up the mountain.

Baltis live in baltistan (near gilgit).

The area (baltistan) formed part of Kashmir before independence, people there have some Chinese features.
