Rohilla pathans came to India in the 17th century and settled in “Rohailkhund” - the present day UP. They were mostly meat eaters and their foods were very simple yet very tasty. Their gradual mixing up with the locals developed a unique culture and very very tasty dished. You will not find these dishes at any restaurants but only at their homes. Some of the those dishes are:
Gobi with spinach and meat (with rice or bajri ki roti)

Mash ki daal kay dhai baray

Pulao biryani
Mash ki daal ki kitchri with desi ghee and moli and khatai haray dhanyia ki chutni
