Re: Rogaine - Minoxidil 2% for hairloss

One of the disadvantages to minoxidil is that...it works only till you're applying it. Effect reverses when you no longer apply it. So i have heard it's for the lifetime? :(

Quoted from the site you posted: Continued use is necessary or hair loss will begin again.

Re: Rogaine - Minoxidil 2% for hairloss

I have used the above said product. and it didn;t work for me.

My sister bought it for me without asking me and when i did some research i found out that the ingredients it has are sold for pennies in pharmacies. It was new at that time and quite expensive too, i don;t know how much it is now though.

Re: Rogaine - Minoxidil 2% for hairloss

Omgg i was having high hopes for the product...what do i do noww? i have to regrow my hairr :(

Re: Rogaine - Minoxidil 2% for hairloss

i'm sure you can get a ladies version of the product, but like the previous poster said, it stops working when you stop using the product.

Have you thought about taking any vitamins? HAIRSUBLIM and SILICA used together are really good for hair regrowth. They're both available at boots.

Re: Rogaine - Minoxidil 2% for hairloss

i read somewhere that commercial sanitary napkins or tampons can also cause hairfall .. :S ...

Re: Rogaine - Minoxidil 2% for hairloss

Is your friend still using the Minoxidil? If you go to the Minoxidil website, it says that your scalp/hair will eventually go back to it's former condition when you discontinue the use. So, you have to keep on applying it.

Get your iron/hormone levels checked.....get a thyroid check.....basically go to a doctor and have him take a blood test to determine if you have any disorders or deficiencies that are causing the hair loss. Also reflect over whether you've been stressed, if you're getting enough sleep, if you're eating a healthy diet, if you're using harmful hair products, if you're engaging in harmful hair habits. Sometimes making a change in your lifestyle can help with health as well.

Re: Rogaine - Minoxidil 2% for hairloss

I have heard using onion juice can help regrow hair. Has anyone tried it with success for hair loss and regrowth of hair

Re: Rogaine - Minoxidil 2% for hairloss

Yes it does Work...

Here's my story:
I hv male pattern baldness and condition became very bad when i couldn't even step out without washing my hair as i looked completely bald from the front and crown area.. then i contacted this site 2 months back, couple of people from this site especially Zaibaish gave hair care tips , After reading them I declared a war against bladness left no stone unturned and i devoted most of my time and energy to get my hair back.. :) i started with one step at a time and after 2 months I have recovered 60-70% of my hair.. I have so may new hair 1-2 inches long on my head..just looking at them makes me soooo happy ..only part left is my crown bt i heard it takes time to recover... here's my routine:

Oil hair 3 times a week.. twice with kalonji and baiza oil mixed in equal quantities and once with castor oil and sesa oil mixed with crushed MSM tablet... apply at night and wash off in the morning.. I stopped using all kinds of shampoo's ....if i had to , then i used Nizoral else washed my hair with amla, reetha, methi dana and shikaki concoction.... 30 minutes before shampoo i used onion juice on my head, this i didnt miss.... 2 times a week i used onion juice before shampoo...its the sulfur in onion that heps in regrowth...also once a week i used a hair pack be4 shampoo (ingredients kalonji oil 2 spoons+ vinegar 6 spoons + henna 2 spoons).....lastly i took pot full of hair vitamins....
Bition 10 mg at night
B complex at night
Msm 1000 mg 2 x day
vitamin c 500mg 2 x day
vitamin E 400 IU at night
Iron with folic acid and zinc 1 x a day
pantothenic acid (Vitamin B5) 500 mg 1 x day
Calcium sandoz 1 tab daily
Water 2 ltrs daily without fail...
This is my story I know its too long But i had to share it with you guys.. becoz of this site only I have a head full of hair.. Thank you everyone who contributed.

Re: Rogaine - Minoxidil 2% for hairloss

Thanks so much for sharing your story and congrats on the success you have had. I was just wondering where can you find baiza oil and also if I have to take all the vitamins all together.

Re: Rogaine - Minoxidil 2% for hairloss

If you are in pakistan and India..you'll find it in any pansari shop.. In India its sold by the name Roghan Baiza murgh manufactured and sold by Hamdard.. about Vitamins dnt take calcium and Iron together.. they cancel each other out..also if u r not anemic take iron in less qty in the morning only... about other vitamins take whenever u want..Biotin is preferred with b complex as it doesn't make you breakout and MSM is preferred with Vitamin C for better absorption.
