Operations over operations in FATA, and now we have rockets being fired on Pakistan Military Academy Abbotabad, a settled area (peaceful city) about 70-80 Kms away from Islamabad.
**“Nine rockets were fired. Three rockets hit the boundary wall of the military academy and damaged it. No one was hurt in the attack,” Imtiaz Hussain Shah, a top local government official in Abbottabad told AFP.
“We have launched a search operation,” Shah added.
The six other rockets landed in open fields near the outer wall, he said.
This is very dangerous, we have been hearing for so many years that Pakistan army is conducting successful operations and the terrorists are on the run but still we observe these kind of bold attacks in settled areas.
The same thing we have been hearing about Balochistan, there was an operation carried out in SUI where now the army has had the tribe opposed to Akbar Bugti settled and during the past 2 days at least 8-10 FC people have been killed in Sui (cleared from terrorists as per our army).
Our army leadership has proven to be really inept and incompetent.
They are super busy to engage themselves in various fronts need control inside outside and gaining nothing. Atleast they stop to taking pangas in politics and with politicians.
don't worry.. as long as Pasha is there, no harm can be done to the terrorist nor does the terrorist will bring any harm to the Pakistan of Pasha( i don't know where it is).. it is politicians which are causing all the bad things... so they need to terminated....
and know what else, feels no sympathy towards army.. they are duly equipped and had ample time and extentions to get rid of these threats.. and where did they used their time???
It seems nothing is safe from these ruthless terrorists, not even a military academy. We are glad that no one was hurt in this attack but all the same it shows the true face of the terrorists who are bent on the destruction of Pakistan. Attacks like these are all the more reason for us to get together and resolve our differences. Together we have achieved much in defeating terrorism. That has always been our common goal, so it is time to get back to the basics and go full force after these enemies of peace. Till we do that, attacks like these will not cease. Therefore, the focus needs to remain on eliminating the threat that continues to plague the region. Our combined efforts will only help us defeat terrorism sooner rather than later.
Maj David, with all due respect, Abbotabad operation to take over OBL was not done with the interest of Pakistan in mind. I am not talking about the goal of the operation as it was definitely in the interest of the whole world. I am referring to the logistics.
I agree with you though that attacks like these are all the more reason for us to get together and resolve our differences. But we Pakistanis also expect that USA/Nato, when take any action, would keep the security and interest of Pakistani nation in mind.
