i dont know about uk but in US it is against the law to take the child out ofcar seat when driving.

I think newborns are easier to travel with as well, once you’ve fed them and changed their nappy they’ll pretty much sleep.

Feeding in the car shouldn’t be a problem, I do it all the time and if I’m the passenger then I do it whilst driving (having tinted windows on the car helps!)
I’ve also changed nappies on the back seat too following a major explosive nappy incident whilst on the motorway.
