Road to redemption

How do you think armed forces, ISI and civil administration can redeem themselves in the eyes of PAKISTANIS (don’t give a flying fig to Martians)?

My beef with them is not because they failed to find Osama (well, this also plays a role) my major concern is the “professionalism” exhibited by EVERYONE with shred bit of responsibility on ALL levels.

Geo tv broke the news live on tv and those military police officials literally at arm’s length from compound (PMA Kakul) didn’t hear/see anything!

Kayani was notified around 3AM but no one dared to wake up His Royal highness sleeping in Royal palace till morning! (what they will do if India does a nuclear strike… Present minutes with breakfast “oh by the way His Royal Highness, India has annihilated Lahore and Karachi last night in two nuclear strikes”?)

The head of democracy flies out of country, instead of addressing the 2nd most critical/damning issue in country’s history (fall of Dhaka being on top).

Even three days after, no one has decency/sense of responsibility/courage to come out live on TV, address the nation and put forward/highlight a solid strategy Government is plannng to follow in next few weeks and months (if there is any).

Re: Road to redemption

Yes I have seen different world leaders like Obama and even Australian pm addressing their nation buy where the raid was carried out no one bothered to take the nation into confidence and the situation like you mentioned most serious after Dhaka fall, the seriousness of the government can be gauged by gillani's visit of France and Rahman Malik was asking the media to not discuss this issue that much

Re: Road to redemption

Redemption? Take nation into confidence on what actually happened, rolling heads of COAS, ISI chief, president and PM.

Re: Road to redemption

^^ You are only asking to roll their heads because none of them belong of Lahore!! ( that would be comment/mentality of few posters)

on a serious note!
we don't know anything, yet we can put the pieces of puzzle together based on our own mind-set and comeup with different theories.. our army/ISI had to comeup with equally aspiring win over one of the threats we are facing...

Please remember it was the same army who fought and drove the terrorist out of Pakistan, we are living in one of the most difficult times, we are heading to even more difficult, many heads may not stay on their shoulders... and this treatment is what any nation would get who would make NS, Zardari, BHUTTO kind of people as their leaders and continue to insist on it...

Re: Road to redemption

The credibility of Gov. among people is so low that there is nothing they can do that will make people believe they are telling the truth. It's the Pakistani military that needs to do something to redeem their honor in font of people. Responsibility should be fixed, guilty should be punished from within the army, truth about whatever happened in last 10 years should be told. Army will surely redeem a lot of lost honor if that is done.
