Road rage anyone ?

Re: Road rage anyone ?

I think this outlook on life is very healthy. Never too late to start - so here I go!

Re: Road rage anyone ?

My (late) sister was the epitome of calm. Cool and collected she would rarely lose her calm. However, behind the wheel of a car having just been forced to slam the brakes as someone cut into her, she couldn't be further than the cool cucumber she was. Especially if my neices were in the car too!

She would beep and flash her lights to show her annoyance. If she passed the car again and I was in the passenger seat, she would get me to give the other driver a dirty glare as we passed.

I get annoyed when people don't give way. Like when ur stuck behind a slwo moving lorry in the fast lane, and you want to change lanes so that you can overtake the lorry and so you signal to change lanes but no-one allows you the room to swicth lanes and instead speed up to pass you!

I hate people who don't indicate. I once followed a car for 15 mins from my house to town, (we were both going the same way) and not once did the guy (in his late 30's) indicate. I parked up a few cars down in the car park approcahed him and asked, "Do you realise that for the last 15 minutes I have been following you and not once did you indicate at any roundabout or at any junction?".. He just looked at me and replied, "So what?" I replied, "You wouldn't be saying that if your child was involved in a crash caused by them failing to indicate". He just looked at me not knowing what to say. I walked away with that sour taste in his mouth and something for him to think about the next time he got behind the wheel of a car.

If someone annoys me with their dangerous driving I will normally beep like mad and flash my lights at them.. if I pass them, then I give them "The Look!!"...

LOL , why do get angry at the weirdos and annoying people ? It is a public bus, they have the same rights to ride it as you do. They do not have a choice like you too but ride that bus.
When I used to drive down to Chicago from Milwaukee and Indianapolis just for grocery shopping or for visiting friends and family I used to feel so much sympathy for those folks who would be standing on the train platform in cold weather. Then when I moved to Chicago and had to ride the train to my office once in a while I came to know that even VP of the company was riding the trains. :smack: In Chicago it is better to ride the train than to drive downtown office for many reasons.
I did not get annoyed at anyone as it is public transport and all members of public have equal right to ride on it.
